Dota 2 Player – KuroKy – Kuro Salehi Takhasomi

Biography

Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Tahosami is one of the most legendary players. KuroKy started his career long before the advent of Dota 2 and has played for many teams. He is considered one of the best captains in history. We present you the story of KuroKy’s foundation as an Esports player.

Carier Start

KuroKy started his career long before he joined the professional team. He got acquainted with Dota at a young age and played it in computer clubs.

The team for KuroKy was the Online Kingdom organization. He played for the club from February 2010 to April this year. After KuroKy left Online Kingdom, he switched to Dota 2.

The first club KuroKy played for in Dota2 was the GosuGamers.net team. The player stayed there from January 2011 until August of the same year. He left the club after a failure at The International 2011. The next place KuroKy played for was Team Virtus.Pro. Kuro stayed with them for a little more than a month, after which he moved to Uebelst GamynG. But he didn’t stay there either. In August 2012 KuroKy played substitute for the mouse sport. Already in September 2012 he became a base player. But it didn’t go well and in October 2012 KuroKy left the German organization. He continued his search.

Team search and Natus Vincere

After KuroKy left mousesports in October 2012, he moved to GD B team where he played for only 4 days. Then there was the Zero team, for which Kuro played a little less than a month. In November 2012 he returned to mousesports, but the game for them was not long. In February 2013, KuroKy became a Natus Vincere player.

Natus Vincere became an organization for KuroKy, with which he had his first significant success. With the yellow and black KuroKy won a total of 16 tournaments. However, the loudest result was the final of The International 2013, where KuroKy and the team were one step away from the championship, but missed the chance.

After an unsuccessful performance at The International 2014, KuroKy left NaVi and continued to search for a team. In August 2015, he became part of the Stars team created by his close friend Puppey – Team Secret. He played for Secret KuroKy for one year. After Kuro failed to achieve the desired results, he left Secret and created his own team – 5jungz. Shortly after, he and his teammates were discovered by Team Liquid.

Team Liquid

Joining Team Liquid was the beginning of a new industry in esports career development. The newfound team’s first high-profile result was second place at the 2016 Shanghai Major. In May of the same year, KuroKy won the EPICENTER 2016 Championship and a month later, second place at the Manila Major. The results increased significantly, but this was not a side chapel either.

In February 2017, KuroKy and his team won the third – Season of the StraLadder i- StarSeries, and four months later Kuro became EPICENTER champion for the second time. The team approached the upcoming The International 2017 as favorites. And Liquid lived up to all expectations. On August 12, 2017, KuroKy wins his first world title together with the team.

The following year was not the most successful for Liquid, but the team coped with the recession. In June 2018, Kuro won the China Dota2 Supermajor and also entered the TOP-4 of The International 2018. The last high-profile result for Team Liquid, led by KuroKy, was second place at The International 2019. In November 2019, KuroKy and his teammates formed their own organization – Team Nigma.

Team Nigma and personal achievements

With Team Nigma, KuroKy has won several championships: WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020, WePlay! Dota Tug of War: Mad Moon and WeSave! Charity Game – EU & CIS.

During his career KuroKy has earned over 5,192,000 USD. In 2014, he won the nomination for the best career at the JoinDOTA Awards 2014. He was also recognized as one of the best support players in history.

Dota 2

Dota 2 is – unlike other big titles like – free to play with all heroes. However, game items can be purchased in the Dota 2 store, but all of them have no effect on the gameplay. Only cosmetic items like different skins for the heroes can be purchased. Just like in Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Portal 2, it is possible to create your own content via the Steam Workshop.

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena title from Valve. The successor to the extremely popular Warcraft 3 modification DotA (Defense of the Ancients), Dota 2 was the company’s first strategy game and was released on the download platform Steam on July 9, 2013. The game is a free-to-play title that can be played completely free of charge and is financed through in-game micro-transactions, similar to Team Fortress 2.
