Biography

Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko is a professional player of Ukrainian descent. Iceberg is an experienced player who has visited many organizations and shown pretty good results. We present you the path of development of Iceberg as an esports player.

The beginning of the Carera

Like most other athletes, Iceberg began his career long before he joined a professional organization. Since childhood he was fond of computer games and sports. In the past, Bogdan was seriously involved in boxing, but he decided to build his career in e-sports. However, this decision was clearly not wrong.

The first team Iceberg played for was Duza . It was a team of high-level players. Failing to achieve great results with the first club, he left the Duza Gaming squad just a few months later.

In 2015 he switched to aSpera, but didn’t stay there long either. In September 2015, Iceberg joined CIS Rejects with whom he played in minor championships and leagues. The team also tried to enter all kinds of prestigious tournaments including MLG World Finals, Frankfurt Major, Wolrd Cyber Arena, StarLadder i-League StarSeries – Season 1 and others.

It was thanks to performances in all of the above championships that they met Iceberg.

In December 2015, Iceberg joined Team Spirit.

team spirit

After becoming a Team Spirit player, Iceberg competed in more prestigious tournaments. For example, the team with him took 1st place at the ProDotA Cup Europe # 1, 3-4. Place at D2CL Christmas Charity Magic, 3rd place at the UCC Hitbox Championship and so on. The most iconic tournament for Iceberg as part of Team Spirit was the 2016 Shanghai Major. Unfortunately, the team couldn’t prove themselves and finished 13th-16th. However, performance at the championship of this level could not go unnoticed. After playing for Team Spirit for a few more months, Iceberg left the team.

In June 2016, Iceberg joined Polarity, but after only staying there for three weeks, he became a Vega Squadron player. With Vega, Iceberg again took part in all qualifications, but failed everywhere. The most important result for Vega was second place at the FACEIT Invitational.

In December 2016, Iceberg returned to Team Spirit. This time, the team failed to qualify for the Major , but the most offensive was finishing second in qualifying for The International 2017. After playing for Team Spirit for a few more months, Iceberg eventually left the organization.

The player’s next club was the FlyToMoon team

FlyToMoon and Winstrike

After getting rid of the Iceberg organization with their friends, they created their own team – FlyToMoon. The team expected success. Only a few months later, the team managed to get into the prestigious tournament EPICENTER XL. Even more surprising was FTM’s performance in this championship. Absolutely sensational, the team finished 3rd, beating most of the top teams in the world.

Unsurprisingly, the team won the subsequent conclusion of The International 2018 qualifiers with ease.

The team went to The International with support from the Winstrike organization itself. At the championship, the Iceberg team took 9th-12th place, which could not be called a failure.

After TI, the team performed under the Winstrike tag for several months until departing again in early 2019 and becoming “free” agents. For a while Iceberg was a The Pango player but literally a few weeks later he returned to FlyToMoon, tried to The International 2019 but failed, he became part of Winstrike again.

It wasn’t long before Winstrike played for the second time. The composition was literally loosened up a few weeks later.

In August 2019, Iceberg became a FlyToMoon player again. After returning to their “home” walls, the team showed good results.

In August 2019, the team became the champion of LOOT.BET/DOTA and after another 4 months they won the Maincast Winter Brawl. In March 2020, Iceberg and the company became champions of the second – Season of the Parimatch League, and in July 2020 they finished second in the third – Season of the Parimatch League.

In September 2020, the team won the OMEGA League: Europe Divine Division, after which NaVi signed the full FTM roster in the same month.

NaVi and personal successes

For Natus Vincere, Iceberg managed to place 4th at OGA Dota PIT S3: Europe/CIS.

During his career, Iceberg has earned over $205,000 in prize money.
