Biography

Pavel “9pasha” (pronounced japɑːʃɑː) Khvastunov (commonly referred to as “Pasha”) is a Russian professional Dota 2 player who last played for CIS Rejects.

Pasha has been playing most of his career in the Offlane position, however, he had a long tenure of playing the Carry role, which started when Mag~, a renowned offlane player, joined Vega Squadron in Spring of 2015. Pasha kept playing the number 1 position through all his time with Vega, and later kept this role in Polarity. However, when he joined Fantastic Five in their efforts to make it through The International 2016 qualifiers, Pasha switched back to offlane.

When Solo was tasked with drafting the new Virtus.Pro squad after TI6, he decided to pickup Pasha as the team’s new offlaner. With Virtus.pro, he was able to win eight LAN tournaments, five of which were Valve Majors, and played over 600 matches. However, his results at The International have been disappointing, with two 5-6th-place finishes and one 9-12th-place finish. After over three years with Virtus.pro, 9Pasha was removed from the team in September 2019,following The International 2019. For the coming – Season , he will be playing for Natus Vincere.

Trivia

• His old nickname “9pashaebashu” (pronounced “yapasha-yebashu” contains a Russian argot word, meaning “I am wrecking” (but in a somewhat rude manner).
• Pasha’s Twitter and Twitch accounts use a picture of Phoenix as an avatar – Pasha is an avid Phoenix player and used to play it a lot on the Offlane position in the beginning of his career.
• When asked in an interview before The International 2015 Wildcard qualifiers how he would like to spend his hypothetical winnings, Pasha said that he would like to buy his own PC, since the one he had at home was broken and he was forced to play most of his games from an Internet Cafe. Unfortunately for him, he made no money from his Seattle trip, but later finally bought a new PC with his share of ESL One New Yor 2015 prize.
• Pasha was the person who “walked fans through” Vega’s new gaming house in February 2016. He was kicked from the team shortly after.
• He is married.

Dota 2

Dota 2 is – unlike other big MOBA titles like League of Legends – free to play with all heroes. However, game items can be purchased in the Dota 2 store, but all of them have no effect on the gameplay. Only cosmetic items like different skins for the heroes can be purchased. Just like in Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Portal 2, it is possible to create your own content via the Steam Workshop.

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena title from Valve. The successor to the extremely popular Warcraft 3 modification DotA (Defense of the Ancients), Dota 2 was the company’s first strategy game and was released on the download platform Steam on July 9, 2013. The game is a free-to-play title that can be played completely free of charge and is financed through in-game micro-transactions, similar to Team Fortress 2.
