When does – Season 18 start in ?

– Season 18 in Destiny 2 starts under the name – Season of the Scavengers on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The launch can be expected at the following times:

  • Great Britain: 7 p.m.
  • Europe: 8 pm
  • US East Coast: 2 p.m.
  • US West Coast: 11am

The downtime to prepare for the new – Season starts one hour and 15 minutes before, so around 18:45 German time. The new patch will be distributed in time for the weekly reset, and if you have downloaded it, you should already be able to play.

How do I prepare for – Season 18 in Destiny 2?

While you’re waiting for the new – Season to start, there are a few things you can do to prepare for it:

  • Pick up all the – Season al titles you’ve earned.
  • Check out the end of the “- Season of the Haunted”,. To do so, you’ll need to visit H.E.L.M. and Zavala, earning another Ascendant frag and an exotic Sparrow. The storyline will remain playable until the next major expansion, but the ending will expire with the start of – Season 18.
  • Reach Legend rank in matchmaking activities and collect the respective rewards.
  • Pick up all remaining – Season Pass rewards with all classes.
  • Have a few completed bounties ready and collect as many materials and mica as you can to give yourself a little advantage at the start of the new – Season .

– Season of the Raiders: The Roadmap of – Season 18 in Destiny 2.

The roadmap for – Season 18 covers the months of August through November and includes the following:

  • Friday, August 26: Revised Raid “King’s Fall
  • Tuesday, September 6: Iron banner (week 1)
  • Friday, September 16: Return of the trials of Osiris
  • Tuesday, October 4: Return of the Grandmaster Nightfalls
  • Tuesday, October 18: Festival of the Lost 2022
  • Tuesday, November 15: Iron banner (week 2)

What else is happening in – Season 18 of Destiny 2?

The name and theme of – Season 18 are not confirmed yet, but we already know about the following things:

  • There is a new – Season Pass and artifact mods.
  • Arkus 3.0 is coming, bringing with it a major overhaul. You can learn more about it right here from Bungie.
  • In the Sandbox, there are changes to weapons (Scout Rifles and Heavy Grenade Launchers will be better in PvE), there are anti-champion features for exotics, and more. Read more here.
  • Crucible matchmaking adjustments. The goal is for all players to find matches where they feel they have a chance to win. Read more here.
  • Ketch Crash: Plunge into ship vs. ship battles to stop Eramis and her band of pirates from throwing the galaxy into chaos in this new 6-player matchmaking offensive.
  • Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasure, and return to your ship as you fend off enemy pirate crews in this 3-player activity.
  • Pirate Verse: Fight through weekly missions and capture powerful relics hidden in the lairs of pirate lords.
  • Gift of the Thunder Gods: New Keepers can quickly catch up and jump into the adventures of the – Season of Scavengers with the Gift of the Thunder Gods, a free, limited-time chest full of gear. Available to all players, the chest contains two Exotic items and ten Legendary items and can be picked up in-game at H.E.L.M..

What were the leaks about – Season 18 in Destiny 2?

If you don’t have Spoilers shies away, there is already some info about what the future might bring for Destiny 2. But these are only leaks so far, nothing is officially confirmed yet.

  • Thanks to dataminers, we know that cosmetic items are coming to Destiny 2 (Black Knight, Drift and Omega), probably in the form of universal ornaments. Whether, conversely, Destiny 2 will also appear in Fortnite is not yet clear, but quite possible.
