It’s update time at Rainbow Six Siege: Ubisoft released today patch 2.2.2 for the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One version.

The update lays the foundation for the upcoming – Season in Rainbow Six Siege and presents all services to dedicated servers to.

Maintenance work on 09 August 2017

For today the developers announce Maintenance for the tactical shooter. During this time, the servers are expected to be down for unavailable for 30 minutes.

  • Playstation 4: 14:00
  • Xbox One: 15:00
  • PC: 16:00

Dedicated servers for own games & terrorist hunt

Ubisoft makes custom games complete with patch 2.2.2 to dedicated servers at. The option has been available since February 2016, but was associated with some hurdles.

Previously, the lobby had to be full within 10 minutes for the game to take place over dedicated servers. Otherwise, a peer-to-peer connection was used. Now only two players needed to start a session via the servers. The peer-to-peer option is completely omitted. This now only works via LAN.

Also Terrorist Hunt will in future only run via the Ubisoft servers, as will the In-game chat. The latter is supposed to have better sound quality despite lower bandwidth. The new voice chat system will first on PC and a short time later on PS4 and Xbox One.

The in-game chat is to be replaced by a better system.

Corrected entry animation

Ubisoft has corrected the Operator entry animation Revised when they climb through windows. Previously, it was not apparent to other players which direction the character climbing through the window was aiming.

In many combat situations, this caused players to caused frustration, as they appeared to be shot down by an attacker who wasn’t even aiming for their position. The bug is supposed to be fixed with patch 2.2.2. be a thing of the past.

Operation Health: Thank you for the players

All players who Rainbow Six Siege played during the start of Operation Health on May 23, 2017 until its conclusion at the end of August will receive a Pendant for the weapon. Owners of the Year 2 – Season Pass will receive a Helmet and a revolver skin for the GIGN operator Doc.

Loyal Rainbow Six players will receive a trailer & – Season Pass owners extra skins.

– Season 3 updates: server, peer-to-peer & LAN mode for PS4.

Ubisoft tests new servers for Rainbow Six Siege, which will be unlocked during the third – Season . The hardware upgrade is to improve the hit registration and reduce latency. There is no date for the new servers, as Ubisoft says it is conducting extensive testing and analysis to ensure a smooth change to ensure.

In – Season 3, all the above Peer-to-peer systems removed. A LAN mode is in the works for the Playstation 4 version, so you can play offline with your friends “if they live near you, if you have any.” Patch 2.2.2 additionally fixes known errors and general bugs. In the course of Operation Health Ubisoft has already changed the hitbox in Rainbow Six Siege revised and Lootboxes called Alpha Packs introduced. – Season 3 update revises the map Kafe Dostoyevsky and all character models.

The units in Rainbow Six Siege will soon look a bit prettier.
