CS:GO BLAST Premier Fall 2022 Groups

The series is one of the traditional mainstays of the tactical shooter scene, complementing the majors as well as the ESL tournaments with its own circuit that pays out over 2 million euros in prize money annually. In a year, there is always a Spring and Fall – Season , plus a big annual finale to close the – Season . The Spring – Season 2022 ended in June with the Spring Finals in Lisbon, which Natus Vincere (NAVI) won.

At the final tournament organized by the August 19-28, 2022 taking place Group Stage This is the opening round of the Fall – Season . Those who reach the top 6 in this competition will be invited directly to the Fall Finals. The rest will qualify for the Fall Showdown – a kind of second chance, because there 16 teams will play for two more tickets to the Fall Finals.

BLAST Premier Fall 2022 Groups – Format

The twelve teams BLAST has invited for the group stage have been divided into three groups, which will be played in a double-elimination format. Each match is a best-of-1, so no one is eliminated at this stage of the tournament, it’s just seeding for the play-in stage. Group winners will advance directly to the final, group runners-up to the semifinals, and the remaining teams will have to start from the bottom of the bracket.

In the Play-in Stage, teams play each other in best-of-3 series. The three winners of each bracket immediately their ticket to the Fall Finals, while the second and third place teams battle it out in the Last Chance Matches for the remaining three tickets. Their losers and the fourth-place teams in the play-in bracket must advance to the showdown.

In addition to invitations to the next tournament, around 177,000 euros in prize money is at stake.

  • Berlin International Gaming (BIG)

For BIG’s German quintet, it will be the first major tournament in many years without Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch, who has stepped down as an active player and will now continue with the team in another, as yet unspecified role. In his place, Nils “k1to” Gruhne returns to the team from the junior team. He had been reassigned from the senior team to the second team between March and August 2022 to make way for youngster Karim “Krimbo” Moussa.
