The new Raid challenges of phase 2 of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic were only a few hours old and already the first communities had laid Lady Vashj and Kael’thas Sunwalker, two of the crunchiest bosses in WoW history. But even though some guilds the Cave of the Serpentshrine and the eye in the fortress of storms
were able to clear the eye in the shortest possible time, one must not forget: The ambitious progress and speedrun guilds invested quite a few hours on the public test server beforehand to internalize boss strategies and develop efficient methods to get through the instance as quickly as possible.

Especially in the Snake Shrine, there are a number of ways to skip the numerous trash groups and save time. For example, the world-first kill guild Progress, which was able to kill Vashj and Kael’thas first, ignored the trash at the pump stations, but had to watch out for the fish swimming around when fighting the horror from the deep.

We find the gusy guild’s trash skip particularly impressive, as they took advantage of the tube system on the ceiling of the snakeshrine to bypass numerous trash groups in one fell swoop. The upper tubes can be reached from the elevator. You “only” need a raid fully equipped with rocket boots and parachute capes – engineering ftw!

You have to get that collectively first. A commentary underlines this: “My guild can’t even manage to snuggle behind charging ogres. I’m shocked that so many people can be so competent.“
