Team Information:
North is a Danish esports organization known for its CSGO roster. We present to you the history of the CSGO division.
First impression
North was first talked about in the beginning of 2017. In January, FC Copenhagen and Nordisk Film announced the formation of their esports organization, which became North. The first lineup includes Dignitas ex-players:
MSL
k0nfig
RUBINO
cajunb
Magisk
The Danish-Norwegian five immediately jumped ship to the ball. The first tournament for the newly minted organization was ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta 2017, where North finished 5th-8th.
Following his performance in Atlanta, North placed 3rd-4th at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017 and 5th-6th at the Intel Extreme Masters XI – World Championship.
In the spring of 2017, North performed at a number of major championships where they proved themselves worthy. The loudest results can be considered ESL Pro League – Season 5 – Europe, where North finished in 1st place, and ESL Pro League – Season 5 – Finals, where North stopped one step away from the championship title.
In July, North finished 9th-11th at ESL One: Cologne 2017 and even later played in the organization’s second major tournament, PGL Major Krakow 2017, where North again finished 5th-8th.
After his performance at PGL Krakow 2017, Magisk left the squad and Valde soon took over. With a renewed squad, North started the next – Season .
Confusion and trying to find a foothold in the TOP.
The 2018 – Season also started for North with a performance in the Major tournament. Then it was ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018, where North finished 15th-16th, which did not meet the expectations of the club owners. After the Boston performance, Cajunb left and Mertz took over. Next, k0nfig left the main roster.
North said goodbye to two players and signed Kjarbye and Mertz in their place. He continued his attempts to gain a foothold at the top of the most successful clubs in Europe. However, it turned out not to be very good, to say the least.
After North shuffled the squad, he finished 5th-6th at cs_summit 2, 7th-8th at Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Championship, 3rd-4th at Copenhagen Games 2018 at Bets.net Masters: – Season 1. and 9th at ESL Pro League – Season 7 – Europe.
A whole series of uncertain performances lit up the first place at DreamHack Tours 2018.
Winning the championship boosted confidence, which helped to perform well in subsequent tournaments.
North finished 3-4th at StarSeries & i-League CS: GO – Season 5 and DreamHack Open Summer 2018.
Then there was a failure at ESL One: Clogne 2018, but it was followed by a win at DreamHack Open Valencia 2018.
In August, minor changes in the lineup took place. The team was supported by niko, who replaced mertz.
With a slightly updated squad, North began playing at FACEIT Major: London 2018. Unfortunately for fans, the team faced absolute failure there: North was knocked out of the championship in 17th-19th place after losing all of its games. Such a performance brought the next changes to the team.
In September, MSL went to the bench and CadiaN took his place. A little later Gade was signed and replaced Niko.
Period 2019-2020
At the beginning of 2019, North finished 3rd at the European Championship – Katowice 2019 – and subsequently won the GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019.
However, in the spring, the results slowly started to deteriorate. First, the club finished 7th-8th in the Intel Extreme Masters XIV – Sydney: European Qualifier, and later finished 5th in the Esports Championship Series – Season 7 – Europe and 5th-8th in the StarSeries & I-League CS: GO – Season 7.
In May, North failed another qualifier and finished in 4th place at ESL One: Cologne 2019 – European Qualifier. They then finished 5th-6th in ESL Pro League – Season 9-Europe and placed 7th-8th in Dallas 2019 at DreamHack Masters.
A similar performance led to a roster change: JUGi replaced cadiaN, and valde became the captain of the roster.
However, the rotation of players did not significantly improve the situation. Although North finished 3-4th in the Esports Championship Series – Season 7 finals, the team later failed in all major tournaments. We are talking about 9th-12th place at ESL Pro League – Season 9 – Finals, 12th-14th place at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and 13th-16th place at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019.
A series of high-profile mistakes contributed to the next changes in the team. In October, North signed Cajunb to replace Valde, but the reshuffling story didn’t end there.
For most of 2020, North rushed from side to side, chaotically searching for the best lineup.
In January, they re-signed MSL and replaced JUGi. In April, JUGi left the band again.
In May, Kjarbye left the bench due to an injury and was replaced by Kristou. By the way, by the end of the year Kristou will leave North and return two more times.
By the end of the year, North will have completed its roster:
gade
cajunb
lekr0
kristou
kreaz
Between the constant shuffling of personnel, North participated in all kinds of tournaments. The results did leave something to be desired.
The most successful performances were 3rd-4th place at DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020, HomeSweetHome: Week, Nine to Five – No. 3 and 2nd place at Eden Arena: Malta Vibes – Week 10.

North’s CEO is Alexander Pedersen and the team manager is Graham Pitt.
The captain’s armband is on Gade and the coaching chair is assigned to Jumpy.
North has worked with a number of well-known brands, including YouGov, Pinnacle, EPOS, Capgemini, MM-Vision and NOCCO.

CS:GO
CS:GO Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO for short) is a computer game from the genre of online tactical shooters. It was developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment and is the fourth part of the Counter-Strike series. The game was released on August 21, 2012 for Windows, Linux, macOS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A release for the PlayStation 3 in Europe failed to materialize for unknown reasons. Global Offensive achieved a Metascore of 83 points. Since September 14, 2017, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has also been available in China via the Perfect World client. In December 2018, the game was switched to a free-to-play model, which drew criticism.
