Biography
Alexey “Qikert” Golubev is a fairly young progamer from Kazakhstan.
Qikert met Counter-Strike at the age of five thanks to his brother, with whom he visited computer clubs to play Half-Life, CS 1.6 and Stalker. When they bought him a computer, Alexey, in his own words, began to play almost non-stop. His first professional team in 2017 was the Avangar team, where he moved from the little-known LoG mix along with the rest of its members. The signing of the player took place shortly after the mix five won the Stream.me Gauntlet – CIS vs EU # 8. Thus, at the age of 17, Alexey became a pro gamer.
Under the banner of his new team, Qikert triumphed at the CIS Minor Championship – Boston 2018 and won the Bucharest Gaming Week Invitational and MSI Gaming Arena 2018. In addition, the team won the DreamHack Open Rio de Janeiro 2019, BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 and CIS Minor Championship – Katowice 2019. Such successes did not go unnoticed: in December of the same year, all five gamers were signed by the Virtus.pro team.
In 2020, the VP team won at DreamHack Open December 2020 and Flashpoint – Season 2. And at IEM Katowice 2021, the club finished second. For Qikert, Virtus.pro is the current team.
