Biography
Emil Magisk Reif is a bright representative of the young school of the Danish Counter-Strike. He has become one of the most prominent Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players and also tried the role of the captain of the team full of superstars. The start of the career
Emil started playing Counter-Strike in his childhood. The player has been playing professional relatively recently, since 2015. StfuNerd has become the first team, for which Magisk was playing. After a short period of time, Emil left the team and moved to the Danish team Team123. Having spent a bit more than a month, he went to a more famous club, mTw. There, he met his future mentor – zonic. 3 months later, the player moved to SK Gaming where he was playing as a stand-in. He was moved to the main roster of SK Gaming 2 months later.
He moved to Team Dignitas in July 2016 where he faced the first popularity. Together with them, he became the champion of Epicenter 2016, having defeated Virtus.Pro in the final. Despite the results, Magisk left the team.
The player joined the team North in less than a half a year. There, Emil did not achieve the desired results and left the club in August 2017. The next home for the player was the team OpTic Gaming.
OpTic Gaming
Emil became a part of OpTic Gaming in August 2017. There, he played in the international roster, which was very promising. But the hopes left unrealized after all. At the same time, Magisk was noticed by Astralis and he was signed in the main roster in February 2018.
Astralis and personal rewards
The transfer to Astralis has become the key moment in the career for Emil. He has managed to show his full potential in the Danish team. Since his arrival in Astralis, Magisk has become the champion 9 times. Also, he is the record holder in terms of the number of won Major tournaments in a row. He has become the three-times back-to-back world champion.
He has won more than 1 300 000 of the prize money in his career. He entered the top 20 of the HLTV rankings three times. He has been considered to be the most valuable player at Blast Pro Series Lisbon 2018 and Intel Extreme Masters – Season XIII Katowice Major 2019.
CS:GO
CS:GO Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO for short) is a computer game from the genre of online tactical shooters. It was developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment and is the fourth part of the Counter-Strike series. The game was released on August 21, 2012 for Windows, Linux, macOS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A release for the PlayStation 3 in Europe failed to materialize for unknown reasons. Global Offensive achieved a Metascore of 83 points. Since September 14, 2017, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has also been available in China via the Perfect World client. In December 2018, the game was switched to a free-to-play model, which drew criticism.
