Itinerant Scholar is a four-piece item set complete with loading screen for Rubick from Dota 2. It was released on March 03, 2017 as part of the exclusive Battle Pass – Winter 2017[1], having previously been submitted to the Steam Workshop.
Function
Like most cosmetic sets, Itinerant Scholar has only a visual purpose and does not change the gameplay. However, the set could be exchanged for 500 points for the Battle Pass – Winter 2017. The package includes, in addition to the set, a matching loading screen.
Dota 2
Dota 2 is – unlike other big MOBA titles like League of Legends – free to play with all heroes. However, game items can be purchased in the Dota 2 store, but all of them have no effect on the gameplay. Only cosmetic items like different skins for the heroes can be purchased. Just like in Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Portal 2, it is possible to create your own content via the Steam Workshop.
Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena title from Valve. The successor to the extremely popular Warcraft 3 modification DotA (Defense of the Ancients), Dota 2 was the company’s first strategy game and was released on the download platform Steam on July 9, 2013. The game is a free-to-play title that can be played completely free of charge and is financed through in-game microtransactions, similar to Team Fortress 2.

Obtaining
You can get the Itinerant Scholar item set with low probability from the Winter Treasure III. This was distributed exclusively to owners of the Battle Pass – Winter 2017.

Trivia
- The set was submitted to the Steam Workshop under the name “Mushi’s Wayfaring Scholar”.
- With the set, Rubick also carries around a Clarity, but it serves only visual purposes.
