CoD Warzone nerfs killer monster Krampus

In : Warzone, there has been a lot of criticism in recent days about Krampus, the monster from the 2021 Christmas event, because the villain was dismembering “naughty players” and they didn’t think it was Christmasy at all.

What was the problem with Krampus?

  • We already reported about Krampus in CoD Warzone on 12/19. The monster came to Warzone as part of the Festive Fervor Christmas event on 12/16.
  • Krampus appeared in various Warzone matches, targeting a player and chasing it mercilessly for 3 minutes. Those who got the message that they were on the naughty children list could expect to die soon.
  • The problem with Krampus was that he had an extremely high amount of health: if he took a certain amount of damage, he would disappear briefly, but then reappear. He had to be defeated 4 times before he finally left his loot package.

Monster can take so damn much damage

How many life points did Krampus have? The site Forbes reported that Krampus had:

  • in solo mode 6000 health points
  • in duos 9000 life points
  • for trios 12,000 life points
  • for Quads 15,000 life points

Less health points for Krampus in CoD Warzone

How did players find the Krampus? Not cool at all. For days there have been complaints against Krampus. People asked developer Raven to take the critter right out of the game.

  • For example, they said that Krampus was “incredibly stupid” – the game was basically over if Krampus chased you.
  • One player wrote that the “fucking thing” had hunted his team in 4 different games within one hour. He just has so many health points and is such a “goddamn monster” that the game is over when he chases one (via reddit).

This is how CoD Warzone reacts: They’ve actually intervened now. Krampus gets 2 nerfs:

  • His health has been significantly reduced – this applies to all modes and squad sizes
  • Also, Krampus no longer comes at the end of a match when the 4th circle has appeared

It seems that there will be a Merry Christmas in CoD Warzone after all. Although there are some problems in the game right now, especially with technical difficulties on the consoles. For example, the Aim Assist is causing a lot of console players grief right now. In the comments to Krampus, some players on Xbox and PlayStation demand that the developers take care of it so that we can have a nice Christmas:

A perk in CoD Vanguard is so broken that enemies hit you worse
