MontanaBlack wrote on Twitter about the cancelled Black Ops tournament: “Too bad we had to cancel the tournament due to DDos. I’m sorry for all the viewers and streamers who came to take the time. Thanks for understanding.” MontanaBlack organized the Black Ops tournament together with streamer Haptic. In the Twitch stream, Haptic seemed visibly upset about the DDos attack and the resulting cancellation.

On Twitter, fans of MontanaBlack deeply condemned the DDoS attack. Whether the Black Ops tournament can be repeated again in this form remains to be seen. The effort that the participating streamers had to make in terms of setup was enormous.
