Call of Duty: Vanguard failed to meet fan expectations after its release. According to the developer, there were two reasons why the game didn’t do so well:

• The community did not like the setting of World War II
• Players were hoping for more innovations in the game than were actually present

E-sports enthusiasts also seem to be unhappy with the latest installment in the series. After the CoD e-sports – Season concluded with a tournament in Los Angeles, some pros made negative comments about CoD: Vanguard on Twitter.

What was that event? From August 4 to August 7, 2022, the Call of Duty Championship Weekend ran. An e-sports event that took place at the Galen Center in Los Angeles and ended the e-sports – Season .

The tournament featured eight teams competing against each other in CoD: Vanguard. The final on Sunday was for first place and $1.2 million US (the equivalent of about 1.17 million euros). In the end, the team “Los Angeles Thieves” won. Atlanta FaZe” came in second.

What did the e-sportsmen say? Now that the last game is over, gamers can express themselves about CoD without the threat of consequences.

The game currently doesn’t seem to be well received by the pros or the community. In the fall, however, the new part of the series should be released: CoD: Modern Warfare 2.

It remains to be seen whether the successor will do better than CoD: Vanguard and live up to the expectations of the community.
