This is certainly a nice incentive, but if I rephrase it, it sounds quite different: sunnyplayer grants you a cashback of 0.1%. So if you have wagered 1000 euros, which is not reached at all by many casual bettors, then you get 1 euro back. Below that, no exchange is possible and the exchange rate always remains the same, as there are no VIP levels with the sunnyplayer bonus. Moreover, after three months, points that are not exchanged expire, which means at least a monthly turnover of 333 euros for 1 euro cashback four times a year for you. However, high rollers can definitely benefit significantly from this loyalty system.

Betting offer

You will quickly notice that sunnyplayer is primarily an established online casino and the sportsbook is still a fairly young branch of the company. Thus, the betting offer seems a bit out of place, even though it is definitely on a higher level in terms of scope.

However, the simplicity also has the great advantage that beginners can get started right away and are not overwhelmed by numbers. Sunnyplayer presents the top events at the top of the menu, for a reason that is not clear to me, two slightly different ones below each other. German soccer is represented in the three professional leagues plus the DFB Cup, and there are always around 100 betting markets to work with per game. That is a decent, but clearly not a top value in the betting provider comparison.

In addition, there are around 25 sports with some “exotics” as well as selected events from the e-sports scene and a few events from the world of entertainment. I’m not completely blown away by this, but I can imagine that beginners in particular will find their way around here.

Live bets

My conclusion about the live betting is similarly mixed, but here, too, you basically get a healthy basic offer. In the live calendar, you can check which events are coming up now and in the near future, and there are always the sub-items “In-Play”, “Upcoming” and “Highlights”.

In the “Event View” you can see all running games on the left side, but there is no live icon or anything like that, so you can immediately see where the kickoff has already taken place. The match view is very similar to the prematch area, except that some statistics and of course the popular mini-match field (sometimes even a video stream) are added at the top of the graphic and especially on the right. I like that again excellent and here sunnyplayer draws from the full. Green and red rectangles next to the odds immediately indicate changes, and over time there is a certain live action.

In virtual sports, the teamwork with the casino is sought. There are computer-simulated soccer and basketball games as well as horse and greyhound races, on which you can bet with video just like on real sports.

I try to approximate the amount of this by taking ten randomly selected outcome bets and calculating the payout ratio. Here I come to values of 95.45 / 93.66 / 92.68 / 90.58 / 95.50 / 92.43 / 92.42 / 89.66 / 92.17 / 94.09% and thus on average to a payout ratio of 92.86%. I see similar values frequently and can advise you to bet on popular matches if possible. Here you often reach 95% payout, while fringe sports can also fall below 90%. With the latter, however, you can distinguish yourself even more with special knowledge.

Betting Features

Since sunnyplayer is rather on a basic level when it comes to sports betting, the betting features are not particularly distinctive either. However, the frequently encountered symbol with the bars, which indicates a very detailed and professional statistics section of Betradar, is particularly noteworthy. You can browse through the results archive at will and read through very detailed betting regulations.

Apart from that, you get plenty of single bets that can be expanded to combos and system bets and find their place in your favorites if needed. For live bets, you are offered a cashout function and you can accept odds changes automatically. The bottom line is that all of these are standard features on almost all betting sites and sunnyplayer hardly has anything more to offer.

Immediately after the selection you can activate a bonus. I really like the fact that you can deposit for as little as one euro and that every deposit is instant and free of charge. However, many payment service providers such as ecoPayz, Skrill, NETELLER or the Bitcoin are missing. Particularly noteworthy, because explicitly featured by sunnyplayer, is MuchBetter, an e-wallet app that is still little known in Germany. You can load it and, after a short activation, make deposits and withdrawals in real time without sunnyplayer being additionally interposed. My experience with the first deposit, the bonus activation and the payout
I was able to make my deposit quickly and without any problems. Also at sunnyplayer you first have to decide on your deposit method. In addition, the minimum deposit is only 1 euro. So I decided to make a deposit of 10 euros using Tustly. The money was credited to my account immediately. In addition, the provider sunnyplayer does not charge you any fees. However, the first phase of confusion already began here. The deposit bonus on the first deposit (10 euros free) was not suggested to me. Instead, I could directly select the bonus for the second deposit.

This actually wrong deposit bonus was credited to me immediately. In addition, you can use this bonus flexibly, because it applies to the casino as well as the sports area. Far and wide but nothing of my free money to see. Instead, other “surprise bonuses” were proposed to me.

Functions & Design

The general look of sunnyplayer is a double-edged sword for me. In my sunnyplayer experience, I find it quite refreshing and of course perfectly in line with the sunny theme that sunnyplayer is cheerful and bright and does not choose the often stylish and gloomy look against a dark background. This way, summer can come and the site is bubbling over with graphics and animations.

In the sports betting area, however, the design is simply boring and you are faced with a better Excel spreadsheet. Especially the light gray background, which does not match the rest of the site at all, makes the sportsbook a foreign body at sunnyplayer. The other side of the coin, however, is that clarity reigns and every text, every number and every button has a purpose. For the pure study and selection of odds, perhaps the Excel design is a plus in the end.

Anyway, sunnyplayer is always effortless to use, but two things have been bothering me since hour 0: The betting slip remains static at the top right and even if you select something in the menu somewhere at the bottom, you have to scroll back up to view the games. And there is no info about how many bets are in a menu sub-item.
