RABONA Casino Review and Bonus

Accepts players from United Statesus

General info & registration

Bookmaker and casino operator at the same time, that's Rabona. But as the name suggests, the focus here is on our beloved sports betting. Rabona - or in some places "eagle eye" - is the impressive soccer trick of playing the ball on the other side of the standing leg. Similarly, in my Rabona review, I was impressed by the betting offer of the new betting provider of the Tranello Group. In my SWV review, you can also read all about the high entry bonus and what modern customer support should look like.

1. you start as always with the short registration, for which you click in the upper right corner on the button in yellow "Create account".

Bonus & VIP Offer

Welcome bonus

Rabona has a nice bonus range, at the top of which is the sports betting bonus of 100% up to 200 euros. You have to deposit at least 20 euros and wager the entire amount once on odds above 1.5. This is done very quickly and you will receive the same amount as bonus money. This will be converted into real money as soon as you have wagered it five times, in this case either on single odds from 2.0 or as a combination bet with 1.5 per selection. You get 30 days to do this and, as is so often the case, you are not allowed to withdraw anything during the bonus period.

In addition to this Rabona bonus for new customers, you can look out for other offers under “special promotions”. For example, there is a very similar bonus for existing customers every week, except that it is a 50% bonus, but up to 500 euros!

Furthermore, there are bonuses for certain sporting events, a boost for combination bets, cashback or a free bet for virtual sports. In the casino, you will be similarly well taken care of and start with a bonus of 100% up to 500 euros and 200 free spins.

VIP & Loyalty Program

You can’t influence it directly, but once a month Rabona divides you internally into the categories Beginner, Amateur, Professional, World Class and Legend depending on your playing behavior. Your personal offers and limits will be based on this. The actual loyalty program is much more interesting and provides you with a gamification experience. You collect one Rabona point per 1 euro wagered or deposited for the trading card collection.

In your account you can view your weekly challenges, such as “place a multi-bet in tennis”. If you complete all challenges, you’ll receive generous extra points. You can use the points to buy a player from the current ten soccer teams once a week (there will be more later). If you have collected an entire team, you will currently receive 100 euros as a real-money reward. It’s best to concentrate on your favorite team and fill it up, since individual players don’t bring any advantage.

Betting offer

At its heart, Rabona consists of a tidy and extensive portfolio of international sports betting. Top events appear on the home page, the top leagues above the general betting selection. The soccer betting provider covers the three professional leagues and the DFB Cup in Germany, the 1st and 2nd leagues as well as the ÖFB Cup in Austria and only the Super League in Switzerland.

Worldwide there is a lot represented and of course you get the big international tournaments delivered on a silver platter. Thus, the Rabona comes week after week to a four-digit number of pairings, which go noticeably in depth with numerous betting markets and are provided here and there with interesting outrights. Between 25 and 30 other sports from tennis and ice hockey to futsal and MMA as well as selected special bets on entertainment, music and politics provide the breadth. The major e-sports events are fortunately covered decently, even if this is certainly not the main focus. Overall, I see a well thought-out betting selection with everything important and also some not quite as important, but all the more appealing for that.

Tip: Are you interested in eSports? Then take a look at the eEURO 2020 eSports betting.

Live bets

For live betting, it pays off that Rabona adds a fourth column to the classic three-column design. On the left is the general betting selection, further to the right are the bets for the selected game and then a mini game field and the betting slip, but as a second column there are still a few similar events as a suggestion. For live betting, this then automatically serves as a multiview and you can conveniently switch between games.

Most and especially the most relevant sporting events can also be bet live at Rabona and I like the stringently managed and thus clear and modern presentation. It is simply fun to go through the bets in the center of the screen and to have all current events in view to the right. The included statistics are versatile and helpful and you can sort your selection not only by league, but also by time, which then also gives you a kind of live calendar at hand.

Again, my experience with Rabona has been positive, especially since there are virtual sports as a goodie. Here, simulated soccer, tennis, and basketball games with animated images, as well as dog and horse betting, run around the clock, and you can try your hand at them to your heart’s content.

Odds & Betting Features

Odds

The best betting offer is worthless if the odds are not right. That’s why I always take a rough look at the payout values in these tests and show you where you can bet lucratively.

At Rabona, I randomly chose ten prematch final bets and used Excel to calculate the odds key. Here I come to values of 91.71 / 95.28 / 95.22 / 92.45 / 92.59 / 86.89 / 95.40 / 95.08 / 91.48 / 96.42%, which makes an average payout of 93.25% of your bets. So there is a noticeable spread at Rabona.

Overall, I see a slightly below-average level here: the top games in Bundesliga and Champions League, but also the big US sports are there with 95% and more, the average event is set a bit too low for me with about 93% payout. Unfortunately, it can also happen that you slip to noticeably below 90% on very “exotic” bets, which does not allow for a profit margin even at the professional level. However, Rabona does not deduct any betting tax.

Betting features

Perhaps it is still due to the young age that Rabona hardly offers any additional features to its presentable betting offer. Here, unfortunately, the variability is a bit lacking and the bookie is not yet as creative as it has written itself on the flag. You can browse the numerous betting markets and log in the usual single, combined and system bets, but you don’t get a betting configurator or calculator at your side.

If you click on the three-bar logo next to a game, there is a statistics section worthy of the kicker and under “Settings” you can set the odds format and standard stakes. As is now customary in the industry, Rabona also offers various cashout options in the live betting and the selection of favorites (both in the leagues and the markets) is also smooth. Technically, this is a well-rounded thing, similar to the Rabona trick, but it doesn’t give me a real added value to the established providers (yet).

Deposits & Withdrawals

You can bring your money to Rabona in various ways, and fortunately there are no costs for you. Most of the time, the deposited amount is also available immediately. These are the payment channels offered for deposits between 10 and 5000 euros:

Visa
Mastercard
Trustly
Trustly’s Pay N Play
Immediately
paysafecard (up to 1000 €)
Bitcoin
Litecoin
Neosurf
Ripple
Ethereum

PAYEER and AdvCash are added to the withdrawal options and paysafecard is omitted.

As a rule, you will receive your money via the service provider through which you previously deposited. With credit cards and cryptocurrencies, Rabona is one of the best Bitcoin betting providers by the way, withdrawals are possible from 20 euros. Otherwise (especially with the international bank transfer as a basic option), payouts are only possible from 100 euros.

The upper limits for withdrawals are tightly knit for the normal customer, because a maximum of 500 euros is allowed per day, and up to 10,000 euros per month. For legends, this then goes up to 1500 or 20,000 euros. Since there is no fee on withdrawals, you can (and must) request 500 euros daily for higher sums until you reach your desired amount.

Each request is processed within three days before some additional time is added depending on the channel. However, 10% charges apply if you want to withdraw money that has never been in play.

As in any reputable casino with an EU license, you have to legitimize yourself, i.e. prove your details by means of documents. Unfortunately, Rabona is not very transparent here, as there is neither a menu item nor specific information in the terms and conditions. It is customary that you send your ID and utility bill as part of your first withdrawal.

My experience with the first deposit, the bonus activation and the first withdrawal.

For you I have also taken a closer look at the provider Rabona. I tested the registration, deposit, withdrawal and bonus activation.

The registration took me only a few minutes. Even beginners can quickly create an account here thanks to the clear masks.

After that, I made the first deposit to my account. I decided to make a deposit by credit card in the amount of 30 euros. The deposit went through without any problems and was immediately credited to my account.

After the deposit I was then asked if I want to activate the bonus. For this you simply have to click the button for activation. The bonus was then activated immediately.

Deactivating the bonus was also very easy at first glance. As soon as you try to request a withdrawal, you will be informed that you still have an active bonus. With a quick answer in the “Yes/No” banner, you can deactivate the bonus.

Unfortunately, the deactivation did not work this way. The bonus remained active. So you have to go to the bonus menu and deactivate the bonus there by yourself. Now finally I could make my withdrawal request.

However, this was canceled with the note that I still have to place a bet to convert the deposit at least once. So I invested my 30 euros in a bet first and unfortunately lost, which prevented a further payout. Of course, this does not have to be the case for you.

Reputation & Security

Rabona is a young offspring of the large Tranello Group, which operates numerous betting and casino sites from Cyprus. Thus, I see a high level of respectability, even if the existing Curaçao license has only a few requirements to offer, which serve your player welfare.

Accordingly, as with many other Curaçao casinos, player protection comes up short, which is only covered with a short info page without links to anti-gambling organizations. Limitations and self-exclusions have to be initiated on one’s own initiative via the support.

However, the basic framework is correct in the Rabona test, i.e. the secure SSL encryption of your data, certified payment channels or detailed terms and conditions. However, the latter, as well as the sufficient privacy policy, are presented in embarrassingly bad German, which I would have rather expected from a windy provider than from this future top address.

However, since the remaining parts of the site, i.e. especially the actual content, is translated without errors, I expect an improvement here in the near future and throw the term “children’s shoes” into the room.

Service & Support

When it comes to customer support, I have no reason to complain. My experience with Rabona was extremely satisfactory: First, you are greeted by an info text with motivating words, from which it emerges that Rabona has dedicated itself to creativity and you can expect a lot of “features not seen anywhere else” in the future. This makes you want more in the sports betting comparison.

In the crisp FAQ there is then first help, but the actual customer service is then as I always wish: available around the clock and equipped with telephone hotline. There is a small damper, because you do not always meet a German-speaking employee, but here they are all the more friendly and helpful. The phone number in Malta and thus within the EU can be reached 24/7 at domestic costs, plus the good live chat and the classic email. Hopefully, this service is not only the flagship for the early days.

Functions & Design

Design-wise, Rabona is outstanding. It starts with the real Rabona trick, which is performed by a player in a Rabona jersey as an eye-catcher, with a time-lapse soccer match behind it. That’s how identification works. The stylish graphics here and there are slightly too kitschy for my taste, but contribute to the recognition value of the site. The basic color at Rabona is anthracite towards dark blue, with numerous elements in a pleasant red tone on top. The text content, such as the terms and conditions, are kept modern so that you can open individual sections and thus get a good overview. This is pleasing and fits the local motto “without any excess”.

The sports bets are presented on a white background, which is just as tidy and perhaps even better. Here everything makes sense and even beginners know immediately what to click on. In the four-column design, the individual betting markets are then clearly listed below each other for unfolding. The specially designed logos for the different sports are worth highlighting.

However, I have a little criticism for the handling of the bets. First of all, there is no information about how many betting markets await you after one click. Then the betting selection is quickly overloaded with ballast, because the sub-items do not close automatically. And finally (and this is really annoying) the betting slip remains anchored at the top right, so it doesn’t scroll all the way down. So if you find a bet somewhere far down (with all the menu items expanded), you have to go back up to activate it. Unfortunately, the mini-game field in live mode disappears in the same way.

Mobile App

The Rabona test also takes a look at the smartphone. Here, the bookmaker does not go the way of the app store or Android app, but optimizes its offer for the corresponding mobile browser. The mobile website is more than just a regrouping of the desktop version, even if you will feel at home right away.

The main menu on the left clearly separates sports betting and casino, the player menu folds in from the right. Design-wise, some thought has been put into this and a good way has been found to optimize all elements, but at the same time leave them in their old form. The actual betting view then remains virtually unchanged, which only makes it more perfect for me. The betting slip activates automatically when you tap on the first odds and then remains accessible as a button on the bottom right even when scrolling. On the smartphone, the live chat can then also be reached directly from the home page and thanks to the changed menu navigation, there are also no more deadbeats in the view.

Thus, the app solves three major shortcomings of the main page for me and has its justification alone. If you then see that you can place bets and use all the other features on the phone in any situation and from anywhere, then the mobile offer is practically unavoidable.

Other Offers

A live casino and regular tournaments

If you ever need a break from sports betting, the next diversion is not far away. With its casino section, Rabona succeeds in creating a very good second pillar. Over 2000 games (!) await you here, from slots with jackpots to blackjack and video poker to varied sports games.

26 partly well-known software providers are used and in the regularly organized slot tournaments up to five-digit bonuses await the winner. The only thing you have to do is deposit and play! Not eligible for the tournaments, but ideal for whole gambling nights, is the large live casino. Here you can access the entire arsenal of Evolution live, but also Ezugi, and thus play in low and high stakes roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker. Popular game shows like Monopoly live, Dream Catcher or Deal or No Deal round off the absolutely successful Rabona Casino. An extremely positive experience!
