The betting provider ComeOn sets its limits with economic thoughts in mind. After all, online bookmakers are nothing but normal businesses that need to generate a profit. Cancellation of a match in soccer – and now?
Not all soccer matches really last 90 minutes. Due to bad weather, the match may have to be abandoned. Then replays or subsequent continuations are common. The situation is usually different in the case of match cancellations caused by fans. If they riot in the stadium, the game is usually completely canceled. In addition, the game can also be abandoned according to the soccer rules. If a team gets more than three red cards, it loses the match. All this, of course, can affect your bets. That’s why ComeOn has formulated clear rules: “All bets on a match that is abandoned before the end of regular playing time are void, unless the match is rescheduled and played on the same day.” This deadline is relatively short. For many other bookmakers, it is sufficient if the match is resumed or replayed within 48 to 72 hours. Same-day rescheduling is extremely uncommon. After all, the weather does not change so much at short notice that the game can be continued an hour later. So only short-term interruptions are really affected by these ComeOn rules. An exception to this are betting markets that were already finished at the time the game was interrupted. For example, you can bet on the result of the first half at ComeOn. If the match is abandoned in the 2nd half, your bet is still valid. A positive feature of ComeOn is the rule on goal scorers. Quote: “Bets on players who do not participate in the game are invalid. What happens when tennis matches are abandoned?
The ComeOn game abandonment is also clearly regulated for tennis. Basically, all bets are void if a match is abandoned for any reason. I made a typo at ComeOn – and now?
It can happen that you accidentally submit a wrong tip. Especially in the hectic live betting area haste is required. But even with larger combination bets you can sometimes lose track. However, if you want to cancel your ComeOn bet, you have no chance to do so. Once you have placed the bet, there is no going back. You conclude a legally binding contract with the betting provider. ComeOn says the following about this in its T&Cs: “Players cannot cancel or change a bet once it has been placed and confirmed.” Unfortunately, there is no explanation for this. However, it is common practice at many bookmakers that bets cannot be canceled. If your bet is a larger ticket, you should still contact the bookmaker’s support. They can change the bet from a purely technical point of view. Right from the start: You do not have a good chance of success. Therefore, it is better to double check all betting slips before you place them.
What happens when ComeOn cancels a combination bet?
Of course, you will not always use single bets. But even with combination bets or multiple bets, as ComeOn calls them, there can be match cancellations. Neither in the ComeOn terms and conditions nor in the betting rules can be found exact information on combination bets. When asked, however, we were told how the bookmaker proceeds: “The same principles apply that can also be found for individual games in the betting rules. If a match is abandoned and not continued on the same day, it falls out of the multiple betting evaluation. The remaining matches remain unaffected.” This is regulated in the same way at many other bookmakers. What this means in detail, we want to show you briefly with an example: Your multiple bet:

So, there are no special rules for the multiple bets. But that’s a good thing, after all, all eventualities are still covered.

The evaluation of this ComeOn extra time is clearly regulated. Quote: “All match markets are based on the result at the end of regular playing time. This includes stoppage time, but does not include extra time or the time allotted for a penalty shootout or until the golden goal is scored.” So you usually always bet on the outcome of the match after 90 minutes. Of course, you still have the option to bet on the extra time. However, this is then simply evaluated separately. Or you can bet on the two-way betting market right from the start. In this case, you bet on the progress of a team, i.e. the result after the entire match time with extra time and penalty shootout. It is important to note that pure injury time is not counted in next minute markets. For example, if you bet that a goal will be scored between the 85th and 90th minute, it must actually be scored there. If the player scores the goal after 90:01 minutes – i.e. in the regular overtime – your bet is lost. By the way, the ComeOn overtime is regulated differently for American sports. With the exception of ice hockey, it is part of the normal betting market here. Quote from the basektball rules: “All bets on a game include overtime unless otherwise stated.” This is fair to bettors because overtime is much more common in American sports. In basketball, for example, they exist even in normal league games.
