In our test, we were absolutely satisfied with the average odds at Betive. In total, the bookmaker has an odds ratio of over 93 percent – which means a solid midfield position in a sports betting comparison with the competition. By the way, the renowned service provider SBtech is behind the odds at Betive – another reason to classify the Betive odds as reputable and stable. What was striking in our evaluation was that the odds for an important soccer match – for example, the final of the Champions League – were often higher than average. However, we could not identify any notable tendencies towards favorites or underdogs.

Fee for credit card deposits disturbs

The options in terms of deposits and withdrawals are satisfactory at Betive, but there is also clearly room for improvement. Above all, we miss the e-wallet Paypal, which is popular in Germany. The American financial service provider has earned a very good reputation due to its high security standards. For German customers, Betive’s MasterCard and Visa credit cards should be of particular interest – although it is somewhat annoying that the bookmaker charges a fee of 2.5% for deposits. However, it has to be said right away that the customer service can only be contacted in writing. We still miss a telephone hotline for German-speaking customers at the moment. In our experience, the live chat at Betive is very efficient and customer-friendly. Here you can get help almost in real time. The processing of emails is also comparatively fast, and we rarely had to wait longer than a few hours.

German-language support daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

By the way, if you want to describe your problems in German, you have to rely on the German-language service hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (daily) for the live chat. Outside of these hours, Betive only offers English-language support. This is a drawback, as is the fact that Betive does not currently have a FAQ section.

As a newcomer, Betive makes no compromises and relies on a fresh and modern sports betting design – which is undoubtedly a good idea, as the site is clear and easy to navigate. Color-wise, the site is kept in a simple white, green and gray. Login area, customer support, bonus offers and payment options are quick and easy to find, even betting beginners should have no difficulties here. All in all, the visual appearance of Betive convinced us all around.

Bet tax

Five percent of the gross profit is deducted

The betting tax has been a vexed issue for sports betting fans residing in Germany for several years – and Betive, as a newcomer, also had to find a solution at this point. Unfortunately, the bookmaker is not as accommodating as Tipico, for example, and bears the five percent tax to the German treasury itself. After all, Betive has decided to only charge the tax on winning bets. This means that your bet remains unaffected. If you win the bet, five percent will be deducted from the gross profit.
