Sports, competitions and betting types are the basic things of a betting programme. We have taken a closer look at the extent to which they are available at a betting provider in this category. The focus here is on alpine skiing, ski jumping or biathlon.

In the football offer you will find competitions scattered all over the globe. There is no country that does not exist. Thus, apart from the top nations Germany, England, Spain or Italy, the user can bet on the most diverse leagues and tournaments from Azerbaijan to Cyprus and from Algeria to Thailand. The best bets are placed in the mother country of football: here you can choose from competitions in the double-digit range. But Bet-at-home doesn’t let itself down in Italy or Spain either (we’ll come to Germany in a moment). In Germany, the programm ranges from the professional leagues down to the regional and upper leagues. Only Bet365, bwin or Sportwetten.de can come up with such a strong offer in German football. No matter if Bundesliga, 2. Liga or 3. Liga, there are more than 100 betting opportunities online per match until the day of the match at the latest. We have already mentioned the outrights. Even in the 3rd league there are some online: Meisterwette and Aufstiegswette.

Tennis, ice hockey, basketball & Co. are in no way inferior to football and are also equipped with all kinds of countries and competitions. In terms of bet types, however, the bookie cannot hold a candle to the best in this category. The US sport is a good comparison here. Bet365 is in a league of its own here, and Unibet can’t come close either. E-Sports betting is still available on the Austrian side, but not on the German side. This is due to the fact that, according to the State Treaty on Gambling, E-Sports may not be offered in Germany. This also applies to political betting, entertainment betting or Virtual Sports.

Since the end of 2020, the bookmaker with Austrian roots has held a betting licence from Germany. bet-at-home was one of the first betting providers in the Federal Republic with a German licence. Customers of the betting provider appreciate above all the seriousness (stock exchange & licence) of the bookmaker, but also the design and the sponsoring of the bookie found much approval in Germany. Bet-at-home is also no stranger to sponsorship in Germany. One of the most important criteria for registering with a sports betting provider is the level of the betting odds. After all, every bettor wants to achieve the greatest possible profit for his bet. We have taken a look at the odds key and compared the odds with those of the competition.
The Betathome betting odds can be described as good average overall, although they are usually a bit away from the absolute top odds. In top football, the bookie achieves an average of 94%. The highest values are 95 %, but are only achieved on selected matches. Bet3000, the top betting odds bookmaker, achieves 97 to 98 % in the popular leagues. Unibet and Sportwetten.de post a key of 97 %.

Friendly international matches are only offered just above the 90 percent mark at all. The 94 % also appears in tennis (ATP/WTA), ice hockey (NHL) and basketball (NBA, BBL). As far as other US sports are concerned, Bet-at-home still increases to 95 to 96% in the NFL.

We have also looked at some betting odds of Bet-at-home in comparison with the competition – namely the favourite odds of each match of an entire Bundesliga matchday. Our result: Bet-at-home does not stand out with high favourite odds, but keeps the favourites very low. The odds on draws were more attractive. However, the clear majority of bettors bet on the favourites. So if you value high odds on favourites, you are better off elsewhere.

The live bets have a huge fan base, as they provide a very special thrill. We assess the performance of live betting on the basis of the available sports, competitions and events as well as bet types. In terms of sports, the bookmaker is very well positioned, offering up to ten sports daily in its live betting centre. As with the other top bookies, football, tennis, ice hockey and basketball take up the largest part of the live bets. In addition, there is volleyball, badminton, table tennis, rugby or several winter sports. By and large, Bet-at-home covers its sports from the pre-match offer quite well. This is not only true for the day, but also for the night, as many US sports bets are available. As far as betting options are concerned, bettors are well catered for per event, but some bookies have more to offer, above all test winner Bet365 or Betway.

In a welcome bonus, the bonus amount is interesting on the one hand, and the bonus conditions are of great importance on the other. Whether these two things are well coordinated at Bet-at-home? Like a number of competitors, Bet-at-home offers its new customers a classic deposit bonus. This can be up to a maximum of 100 euros. For this purpose, the betting provider grants 50 percent on the first deposit. In order to achieve the maximum bonus, 200 euros must be deposited in this case. However, the amount alone is not the decisive argument for the new customer bonus. Because before this bonus is finally paid out, the customers have to fulfil some conditions.

In order to be entitled to participate in the bonus programme, the user must enter the bonus code “willkommen” after opening the account and make a minimum deposit of 10 euros. This is not stated in the terms and conditions, but generally a deposit of this amount applies at Bet-at-home. After the deposit, the bookmaker adds half of the amount as a bonus. After that, the user can start playing for free. To be more precise, the deposit amount and bonus must be wagered four times with sports bets at a minimum odds of 1.70. We also pay a lot of attention to the structure of sports betting sites. What we value is ease of use and a clear overview. For this purpose, we look at the desktop version as well as the mobile betting of a bookmaker.

One thing should be said in advance: Bet-at-home has a sports betting native app for Android and iOS in Germany for all common operating systems. There is currently no Bet-at-home app in the Google PlayStore. The reason: Google has banned sports betting apps in the PlayStore until 1 March 2021. At first glance, the Bet-at-home website does not appear to be as stylish and modern as others (e.g. bwin), but for this very reason it impresses with its fast loading times, simple menu navigation and convenient operation. Similar examples are Happybet or Tipwin, but there are also bookmaker sites that are so easy to navigate. As far as performance is concerned, there are only a few web portals of sports betting providers that can keep up with betting providers from Austria. The site is clearly structured and simply laid out in a three-column system. At the top of the screen are buttons for registration and login. Somewhat below that, in somewhat larger letters, is the main menu with sports betting and live betting. Below the sports betting, on the left edge of the screen, there is the menu with the sports, the top winners and the blog. In the middle are rotating teasers and below them current live bets, sports betting highlights and last minute bets. The betting slip and promotions appear on the far right.
