Show match for 10,000 euros
David “Hitch” Edwards, a streamer and creative director at Team OpTic, has now had enough of the discussion: he slapped around 10,000 euros on the metaphorical table and called a showmatch to set the record straight once and for all. This time, eight teams of four are to compete against each other, with each match taking place in best-of-five mode.
The composition of the individual teams has not yet been determined – but the prize money should attract a respectable contingent from both sides. The show match is scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 2022. There is no time for it yet, but since mainly professionals from North America are likely to be involved, you should not expect a convenient time for European viewers.
