This one is set on a completely new map called Al Mazrah, where desert battles are combined with street fights in cities. There are dozens of new areas and POIs that you can explore. In addition, Al Mazrah also includes a new version of Warzone’s Gulag; here players can compete against each other in 2v2 matches. There are also some new in this segment.

The actual Battle Royale is expected to get a new twist in that there will be several smaller circular areas where the battles will romp. Eventually, the remaining players will be drawn further and further together.

Like the original Warzone, the sequel will also get all the weapons from the actual main game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which as we know will be available a bit earlier from October 26. The two games also feature cross-progression and share game progress.

The multiplayer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 itself is getting the Loadout 2.0 system as a new feature, which builds on the weapon customization system from 2019’s Modern Warfare and will give you even more options to customize your weapons in the future. This system will also be part of Warzone 2.0.

Call of Duty’s actual multiplayer formula is also getting some new additions, including optimized sprints or swims. There are also major new options like third-person multiplayer playlists – there were rumors on the net shortly beforehand here. The cooperative Spec Ops mode returns and there are AI players as an alternative on certain particularly large maps. With Raids and the sandbox mode DMZ, Infinity Ward also mentioned two new modes, but didn’t go into more detail at first.
