The second day of the Bundesliga Home Challenge took place at the weekend. Clubs from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga met in 15 games in FIFA 20 to offer the spectators exciting football. And there was actually one to see.
For the second day of the Bundesliga Home Challenge , the field of participants was expanded to 30 teams . Two players competed for each team, this weekend there was even a team of referees around Deniz Aytekin and Daniel Schlager .
Saturday: Schlotterbeck is doing it again
Hannover 96 and Darmstadt 98 opened the second day of the Bundesliga Home Challenge at 3:30 p.m. But at the latest with the second match of the day between Hertha BSC Berlin and SC Freiburg there was a lot of fire.
Esports player Elias “Mern22” Nerlich ensured a good starting position for the capital club with a 6-1 win over the Dutch keeper Mark Flekken from Breisgau in the first game.
After that, however, it was once again the Freiburg professional Nico Schlotterbeck who clinched victory for the sports club with a veritable shooting match. After his outstanding performance in eFriendly against Spain , Schlotterbeck should start thinking about a second career in FIFA esports. With 11: 1 he sweeps Hertha professional Maximilian Mittelstädt off the field.
By the way, referee Deniz Aytekin was able to win his match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Colleague Schlager, on the other hand, remained without a chance and goalless, so that the referees had to admit defeat.
Saturday’s results:
- Hannover 96 – Darmstadt 98 2:4
- Hertha BSC – SC Freiburg 7:12
- 1. FC Cologne – SPVGG Greuther Furth 5: 5
- Borussia Dortmund – Holstein Kiel 7: 4
- TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – 1. FSV Mainz 05 12: 1
- SC Paderborn – SV Wehen Wiesbaden 4: 6
- RB Leipzig – Werder Bremen 4: 4
- Borussia Mönchengladbach – referee 5:2
Sunday: Esports duel between Wolfsburg and Schalke
On Sunday there were seven more games on the schedule, which were no less exciting than the matches from the day before. One of the highlights was the duel between VFL Wolfsburg and FC Schalke 04.
In the first game, the two FIFA pros Benedikt “Salz0r” Salz0r (VFL Wolfsburg) and Tim “Tim_Latka” Schwartmann (Schalke 04) met in an exciting duel. Salz0r got off to a better start and took a 1-0 lead, but Tim_Latka kept his nerve and won game 1 2-1.
Funny: Tim_Latka scored the two goals with the virtual S04 professional Nassim Boujellab , whose real role model played Lino Kasten in the second match between Wolfsburg and Schalke and led the Royal Blues to victory with a comfortable 3-0 win.
Sunday’s results:
- 1. FC Nürnberg – FC St. Pauli 0: 3
- Eintracht Frankfurt – Arminia Bielefeld 7: 8
- Jahn Regensburg – VFB Stuttgart 1:5
- Bayer 04 Leverkusen – Dynamo Dresden 4: 6
- VFL Wolfsburg – FC Schalke 04 1: 5
- Hamburger SV – FC Augsburg 2:5
- VFL Bochum – 1. FC Union Berlin 3:5
So 15 exciting matches on the second day of the Bundesliga Home Challenge, which excellently compensated all football fans who stayed at home for the current break from the real pitch. The next time the nerf of a nasty defensive tactic should take effect. If you want to start your FIFA week yourself now, we’ve found the best central defenders for each FUT team.
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.
Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities
Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
