A nasty bug is plaguing players in FIFA 22 right now. Despite a long wait, the game can’t find worthy opponents for them. This annoys many players, because some have stocked up on a number of cool new players thanks to good deals on Black Friday and would love to try out their new top team. What is the problem in FIFA? Since November 29, 2021 players in FIFA 22 increasingly complain about a nasty bug in the Ultimate Team mode. If you want to start a round, you often have to watch how the game searches for a wolf and spits out the dreaded message “No Opponents Found” at the end.
So you might wait forever and end up returning to the menu unplayed. This upsets the fans in more ways than one.
Players angry because they can’t play their new teams
That’s why this is especially nasty: Not being able to play is already stupid. But it’s really bad for FIFA fans, because until recently there was a huge Black Friday sale. Players covered themselves with cool FIFA packs and therefore had massive top teams at the start.
They wanted to unleash them on their opponents, but thanks to the no-opponents-found-bug, the fancy new top players are now sitting on the virtual bench instead of scoring fantastic goals on the pitch or pulling off other soccer stunts.
To make matters worse, the bug is said to occur in other game modes as well.
What are the reactions of the players? As you might expect, players are pissed and disappointed that they can’t gamble anymore. They are venting their anger on reddit. A typical comment reads as follows:
I don’t know what’s wrong with the game this year. It’s bordering on miraculous to find an opponent in any game mode. They release all this great content in the form of objectives, but what good is that if you can’t even play?
Many players accuse EA in their anger also fraud, because they have persuaded with the sale many players to buy FIFA cards, which are now often not usable, because no one can play properly.
What are the developers planning? However, the problem is not said to occur equally in all players and regions. Currently, especially players in North America and Europe are affected.
In a lengthy forum post in the EA FIFA forum, the developers have now contacted us and asked for more details about the bug in the affected players. This was the case yesterday, November 29. Since then a lot of information from the players has been posted. However, an update from the developers is still pending.
