What happened?

Bots have been a theme in Fortnite since Chapter 2. They are supposed to fill lobbies for beginners to get a better start in the sweaty battles. However, these bots were mindless shadows of skins that moved, shot, and built like maniacs.

In the game, they were never perceived as a threat, but one player now shows that bots can shred you too.

Beware! Bots have Aimbots

In the Fortnite clip from Additional-Resort624 on reddit, it shows a real player being torn apart by a bot.

The bot first wanders aimlessly through the area, collecting loot and looking for its next victim. He aims through his telescope and spots the last enemy of the round.

However, he disappears behind the treetops with his net shooters and lulls himself into safety. The bot doesn’t seem to care, because he confidently fires a shot through the foliage, which hits unerringly and sends his opponent to the afterlife.

What was it like in Chapter 2?

In Chapter 2, the bots were introduced for the first time. They were meant to help new players get a good and easy start in Fortnite without being thrown into a crate with sweaties right away. However, they are mostly used in better lobbies to make up for missing spots.

The better you got, the fewer computers were thrown into a lobby with you. The bots couldn’t really be considered opponents, as they wandered around mindlessly, shooting wildly and building walls for no reason.

Players had an easy time with them, since they weren’t dangerous and on top of that dropped loot after death. The easy gameplay, however, changed with Chapter 3.

What is different in Chapter 3?

It’s not known exactly what the cause behind the bots’ talent increase is, but they apparently received a polish. As you can see in the clip, you can now only approach bots up to a certain distance, as they will notice you immediately.

Their accuracy and enemy detection has also increased, making them a new threat in the match. However, nothing has been changed in their building skills. Don’t underestimate her, though, or you’ll be the next one with a bullet between the eyebrows.
