Which dates are coming up? Call of Duty goes into full swing this week: Two new titles will be unveiled in detail for the first time in a major event, and Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer will also take center stage.

In addition, the first phase of the beta of CoD MW2 will start on Friday, September 16. The most important information about the event and beta can be found here in the overview.

CoD Next: Event reveals Warzone title and multiplayer mode

When is the event? In our time zone, CoD Next kicks off on Thursday, September 15 at 6:30pm. The event can be followed on YouTube and Twitch:

What to see at the event? The Reveal event will focus on three big reveals:

Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, and the event will feature an in-depth presentation of the multiplayer mode. There will also be info about the new Warzone games.

There could also be some surprises. For example, the leak of a subscription service for CoD has been circulating in the community for some time. Announcements in connection with the Xbox Game Pass would also be possible. The CoD zombie community is also eagerly awaiting new announcements.

However, only the announcements for the three titles mentioned above are really certain.

CoD MW2 PlayStation Beta: The dates of the first week

When does the beta start? The test phase will run over two weekends and during the first week only players on PlayStation will be eligible.

• Early Access: September 16 – 17
• Open Beta 1: September 18 – 20
  • A concrete time is not yet known

You can get early access by pre-ordering CoD MW2. Many content creators are also giving away keys for the beta’s early access.

What can you test? It will be a test of the multiplayer mode, but the exact contents are not yet known. Among other things, the new map Grand Prix should be playable, a Formula 1 race track.

The beta of the predecessor Vanguard 2021 offered a total of 6 modes on 4 maps.

When will the 2nd beta start? For the other playttforms Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam and Battle.net, it doesn’t start until September 22. For players on PlayStation, the second weekend is a full open beta:
