In the different , the fighting style of the Germans changes with the Recruit, Mercenary, Soldier and Veteran difficulty settings. Individual German soldiers don’t have a lot of stamina or strength, so they can actually be taken out quite easily. In Call of Duty 3, a melee system was introduced for improvement, where you have to press certain buttons at some points to fend off an attacking German soldier.

The Wehrmacht has different uniforms in the campaigns, all adapted to the environment. Light brown or green for operations in deserts and landscapes, white winter jackets for operations in Russia.

Air Force

The Air Force of the Germans is represented in the form of airplanes, which the player must either shoot down or avoid by hiding. However, such incidents occur rather rarely in the campaigns.

Info

  • In almost every part of the series that featured the Wehrmacht, it was also the player’s main opponent.
  • At the end of a successful multiplayer game in Call of Duty: World at War, the Königgrätz March plays and you can hear Adolf Hitler say: “In front of us lies Germany, in us marches Germany, and behind us comes Germany!”.
  • The soldiers of the Wehrmacht in Call of Duty: World at War look much dirtier and more tattered than in the other games, both in the campaign and in multiplayer. This is either because WaW is a darker game than the others, or because WaW is set mainly in the final weeks of World War II and many of the soldiers have already used up their resources and seen terrible things.
  • Despite the sometimes uncomfortable weather, most of the German soldiers fight with their sleeves rolled up or uniforms that have short sleeves. The exception is the Untergang mission, where you can also see soldiers with long sleeves.
  • Some of the German soldiers in Call of Duty 2 wear the symbol of the Spanish Royal Guard on their helmets, which would imply that they are Spanish.
Most likely, this was simply meant as a decoration by the developers.
  • When you knife the radio in the survival fight on the Night of the Undead map, you can sometimes hear the King’s March. However, this is only true for WaW. In Black Ops, the song was removed for unknown reasons.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the only game in the series that recognizes German soldiers as allies rather than enemies.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at     War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
