UNITA (National Union for the Total Independence of Angola) is a faction in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
They fought with Alex Mason against the MPLA in Angola’s bloody civil war in 1986.
History
Jonas Savimbi, a charismatic Angolan, founded UNITA in March 1966 as an organization against socialism, assimilation and colonism. On December 25, UNITA began its struggle to free Angola, a Portuguese settlement, from European rules.
Most of its members were recruited from Angola’s largest tribe, the Ovimbundu; Savimbi also established headquarters in Jamba, a region southwest of Cuando Cubango. UNITA has a real hatred for the MPLA, a political party that has claimed they are the only ones with power in Angola since the country won its independence in 1975. In the brutal civil war that followed, UNITA was able to gain the help of South Africa, and later the United States also got involved on the good side.

In 1986, Alex Mason infiltrated the country with Jason Hudson to rescue Frank Woods, who was thought to be missing, in the process they came across Raul Menendez, who was supplying the country with weapons for the ongoing conflict. UNITA tracked down Woods for the two Americans, but they also had to help repel an MPLA attack on Jamba. Their victory was largely due to Hudson, who was able to use air support to wipe out many enemy troops.
With an Mi-24 Hind, Savimbi was later able to take over the rescue of Hudson, Mason and Woods at the Cubango River.

Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
