The Panamian Defense Forces (PDF for short) are the National Guard of Panama. Manuel Noriega, the dictator of Panama, was allowed to rule over his own armed forces at the same time. They did everything he wanted and obeyed him to the letter. In they appear as allies in the mission Time and Destiny. Noriega betrayed the PDF, but they still trust the Americans. They get in your way while you play as Raul Menendez and make another brief appearance in the mission Suffer With Me.

Nicaragua, 1986

In Time and Destiny, the PDF helps the CIA capture Raul Menendez by attacking his apartment building. They also succeed, but Manuel Noriega stabbed his private army in the back and shot two of his own soldiers to release Menendez. Raul Menendez himself kills countless members of the PDF in search of his sister, Josefina. After Woods throws a grenade at Menendez and the room is damaged, the PDF is seen helping Mason, Hudson and Woods eliminate the remaining members of Menendez’s cartel.

Panama, 1989

Three years after the Nicaragua mishap, the President of the United States orders an invasion of Panama to catch Manuel Noriega. While the United States Army Rangers launch a diversion in the city, the Navy SEALs search the outskirts of the city. Assisting in this effort are Mason, Woods and Mark McKnight. At the end of the mission, the PDF are seen in the Panama Canal, still obeying Noriega’s orders.
