The badge of the 1st Reconnaissance Command

The 1st Reconnaissance Command was a unit of the US Armed Forces. The unit’s most famous battle was probably the invasion against Khaled Al-Asad, in which a great many soldiers were killed, including the majority of the 1st Recon Command. In , the player takes on the role of one of these soldiers and victims as Sergeant Paul Jackson. In , the unit is mentioned in an indirect way. As it is later revealed, their commander-in-chief was General Shepherd.

Invasion against Khaled Al-Asad

The 1st Reconnaissance Command of the United States Marine Corps (USMC for short) was also part of the invasion against Al-Asad. In the missions Charlie Doesn’t Surf, The Swamp, Call Sign ‘War Pig’, Demoralization and Late Effects, you are part of this unit as Sgt. Paul Jackson and follow the events of the invasion from the front line. In the final battle of the invasion, in Iran, Vladimir Makarov detonates a nuclear bomb, which costs the lives of about 30,000. The pressure wave knocks all the helicopters out of the sky and they hit the ground with full force or explode already in the air. After this glorifying defeat of the USMC, a small group of the 1st, which were not in during the nuclear strike at the front, later joins forces with the SAS of the British, whereby the squad of the 1st reconnaissance command is killed just as completely by Imran Zakhaev.

In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
