Now, the maker of the popular Battle Royale shooter has announced who will star in the upcoming “Rift Tour” – a concert series within the game: None other than US singer Ariana Grande will perform for users on the digital stage this coming weekend. From Saturday, August 7, to Monday, August 9, the Grammy winner and multi-platinum artist will take to the microphone a total of five times as headliner.

“Working with Epic and the ‘Fortnite’ team to bring my music to life in the game has been so much fun and a great honor,” Ariana Grande is quoted as saying. “I can’t wait to get together with my fans and see all of your reactions to this unforgettable, magical journey into new realities,” the 28-year-old explained. According to Epic Games, there would not be a different “Rift Tour” to see in each broadcast, however, the effects experienced could change as long as you change outfits or paint jobs.

Fans need to download game update

Those who do not want to miss Ariana Grande’s performance need the game update V17.30 before the start of the “Rift Tour”. To ensure that everything works smoothly, Epic Games issued the recommendation to be in “Fortnite” already one hour before the show starts. Around 30 minutes before the start of the respective show, the “Rift Mode” should be available. So that fans don’t start the concert with Ariana Grand completely unheated, a small pre-show program is also planned: In shows with a “Fortnite” theme, popular music tracks will accompany moments based on elements from the game.

Those who want to experience the digital concert of the US singer have the opportunity to do so a total of five times – multiple participations are possible. You don’t necessarily have to be a night owl to watch the performances. On Saturday, August 7, Ariana Grande will take the stage in “Fortnite” at 8 p.m., one day later in the afternoon at 4 p.m..
