Are the Warzone servers down?

You come home from work, want to comfortably play a round of with your buddies and then you can’t get into the game. What could be more annoying? Although it is well known that there are numerous bugs in Warzone that can prevent players from playing a few matches, it never hurts to check the server status first. If the servers are indeed down, there is nothing you can do but wait. Activision and Raven Software are probably busting their butts to solve the problem anyway – after all, they only earn money in Warzone when the game is running. So let’s see how you can check the server status of Warzone.

How to check the Warzone server status?

If you can’t get into the game and you don’t get a clear error message directly as the reason, there are several ways to check if the problem is with you or with the servers.

On the website of Activision Support, maintenance and server downtimes are usually always announced and you can also be notified as soon as the servers are back online. Of course, you can also report problems with Warzone or other “” games here yourself. On Twitter, both Activision Support and the developer Raven Software provide updates on known issues, including server outages, and keep you updated on the progress of the fix.

What to do if you can not connect to the servers?

If you can’t connect to the Warzone servers even though the servers are supposed to be live, the problem probably lies with you. But don’t worry, we have some for you for this case as well:

Is Warzone up to date?

If Warzone does not have the latest installed, or if an update has been incomplete, this can lead to significant problems. So check your PC or console to make sure you have updated Warzone to the latest version.

Warzone update on the PC

  • Opens Battle.net and navigates to Warzone.
  • Click the gear next to the “Play” button.
  • Click on “Check for updates”.
  • If this does not work, click “Scan and repair”.

Warzone update on PlayStation or Xbox

  • Closes Warzone.
  • Go to your games library.
  • Find Warzone and click on “Options”.
  • Click “Check for Update” on PlayStation or “Manage Game” -> “Downloads” on Xbox.

Checks the Internet connection

Of course, the problem could simply be your Internet connection. If in doubt, restarting your router can help. You should also connect your PC or console directly to the router via a LAN cable, if possible.

  • Unplug your router.
  • Wait a few seconds.
  • Plugs the router back in.
  • Waits 5-10 minutes.
  • Restarts Warzone.
