Arcane – Season 2 still seems a long way off. The successful Netflix animated series based on the iconic League of Legends (LoL) game series by Riot Games is a great TV animated series, so it’s not surprising that it’s getting a sequel.
We didn’t expect the first – Season of Arcane to get a 100% rating on the review site Rotten Tomatoes. [opensinnewtab) or that the series will be honored at this year’s award ceremony for nine Annie Awards nominated (opens in new tab) would be. But it was. So Arcane is certainly another big win for Netflix.
Still, you shouldn’t expect Arcane – Season 2 to come out anytime soon. The creators have confirmed that it will be another 12 months before the next installment of the series is released. So there’s plenty of time to rewatch – Season 1 or use the successful game to tide you over.
In the meantime, what do we know about the second – Season of Arcane? The latest news is that Fortiche Productions, the company responsible for the series’ great animation and art style, is hiring to work on – Season 2. And it seems that some of the series’ team have hinted at a possible plot line that could cause confusion between two main characters.

The teaser above reveals nothing except that – Season 2 is in production and that three characters from – Season 1 will return (more on that later). Still, we’re glad to see Arcane getting a second – Season . The series definitely more than deserves it.
But when will it return on Netflix? At the moment, it’s hard to say, since we don’t know how far – Season 2 has progressed. But according to a tweet from Nicolo Laurent, the CEO of Riot Games, the next installment of the series is not expected to be ready until next year. So for now, it’s unlikely that we’ll see – Season 2 this year.
