Apex Legends – Season 6 is here – and with it the new Legend Rampart. What has happened in the current meta – who are the best Legends? Find out everything about the current Tier List here.
Today we will take a closer look at the current meta of Apex Legends with our – Season 6 Tier List. A lot has changed with the latest patch and some Legends have slipped further down the list, while others are back among the top picks.
Apex Legends D Tier
Loba
It is a sad day when we say goodbye to Loba. Last – Season ‘s Legend is already at the bottom of the rankings in a category separate from all others. It didn’t take a whole – Season for players to realize that Loba’s kit doesn’t bring much benefit to the team. The only exception is her Ultimate, which is quite good at least in some situations. No wonder she is suddenly the least chosen Legend in the whole game! We’re sure some buffs will be coming soon enough.
Apex Legends C Tier
Revenant
Back when Revenant was first introduced in – Season 4: Assimilation, players were excited to try out the mysterious simulacrum. Two – Season s later, he’s mostly dead weight and rarely worth the risk. Sure he can silence opposing Legends, but his Passives and Ultimate aren’t very impressive. When it comes to Death Totem, the worst part is that enemies can use it too. It’s a double-edged sword that you’ll quickly cut yourself on.
Octane
Who doesn’t like running fast and jumping on launch pads? Playing Octane is usually huge fun, as the fast daredevil can often escape danger. The Launch Pads can be really useful in most situations, but that’s about it for Octane’s kit. He remains predictable and his abilities do little to help the team. It gets to the point where using a Launch Pad is like shooting clay pigeons.
Apex Legends B Tier
Bangalore
Bangalore has been a popular pick since the game’s inception, and for good reason. She combines good utility that can be used as an attack as well as a defense. Her Passive is not that impressive, but it serves its purpose. Some opponents will have trouble dealing with her sudden Speed Burst while targeting them. Banga needs some buffs – then she might make it to the A Tier in – Season 7.
Bloodhound
Bloodhound hasn’t changed too much in – Season 6. The Legend is a mostly situational pick, but in the hands of the right player he can work wonders. The good thing about Bloodhound is that he can gather valuable information all over the map thanks to his Ultimate “Beast of the Hunter” and his “Eye of the Allfather” ability.
Crypto
The man with the drone. He finally made it out of the trash tier and it still feels a bit weird. Similar to Bloodhound, Crypto can gather important information for his team thanks to his drone, but unlike Bloodhound, he can’t shoot at the same time. Under the right circumstances, he can totally make up for it with his Ultimate. Also, Crypto can revive his teammates faster – making him the B animal.
Pathfinder
Pathfinder lands ungently in the B Tier. The reason for this is the nerfs to his grappling hook and cooldown. He is nowhere near as mobile as before. Meanwhile, his passive is also nothing special anymore.
Apex Legends A Tier
Caustic
A Caustic player who knows what he’s doing is something terrible – especially in a closed place like the Bunker. He’s still a top choice, especially in ranked play – and has been for a long time.
Gibraltar
Gibby is as good as ever. He can be used for offense and defense. But the reason people really pick him is his tactical ability. In his Dome of Protection, players are safe from incoming projectiles. Also, healing items are used faster and Gibraltar can revive allies for 4 seconds instead of the usual 5 seconds. Then there’s the Cannon Shield, which gives him an advantage in one-on-one situations.
Mirage
Mirage was at the bottom of the barrel for so long that at one point we even forgot he existed. After the massive buffs, it’s no wonder Legend is finally enjoying the popularity it deserves. His tactical and ultimate abilities are now better than ever. Mirage’s Passive allows him to cloak himself and the teammate he revives, which is invaluable.
Rampart
The new legend of – Season Six didn’t make as much of a splash as we had hoped, but remains a solid choice for any team combo.
Wattson
Wattson doesn’t play like the rest of the Legends. Unlike many others, it doesn’t have a steep learning curve. But it’s worth sticking with! The fence and pylon can make the best of a dicey situation. Similar to Caustic, Wattson shines especially in the late game – and the only possible counter to a good Wattson is Crypto.
Apex Legends S Tier
Lifeline
Lifeline has always been a popular pick. Over the – Season s, much of what made her special was transferred to Gibraltar. So why play Lifeline when you could play the chunky kid instead? – Season 6 answered that question with a gigantic buff for her. Her drone can now be used to revive an ally while Lifeline players can focus on firefights. This means less time spent worrying about teammates and more time fighting enemies. Also, the drone protects your fallen teammate with a shield. So you can focus on covering each other.
Wraith
Some things never change, do they? Wraith has been at the top of every Tier List for over a year and a half – and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon. Overpowered like an anime character, she’s fast and can get her entire team from point A to point B safely. Wraith’s tactical ability serves as a “get me out of here” button, and even after multiple nerfs, Legends remains the best in the game.
What is actually… “Apex Legends?
Within 24 hours, “Apex Legends” became the most-watched game on Twitch – after one week, over 25 million people were already playing it. What is the battle royale shooter about?
What is “Apex Legends” about?
Scenario: In a distant future, bandits, adventurers, and outlaws settle their disputes in a sporting contest to the death. The setting is a fertile, industrially developed valley on the edge of the galaxy.
- Genre: Battle Royale shooter
- Game modes: survival battle between a maximum of 20 teams of three.
At its core, “Apex Legends” is a classic battle-royale shooter: up to 60 players land simultaneously in teams of three on the game map called “Kings Canyon” – a densely built-up, fertile valley with many accessible houses, bunkers and towers. Once on the ground, unarmed players must search their surroundings for equipment and ammunition. The goal of the game is to stay alive until the end.
To prevent players from hiding all over the map and waiting to automatically be the last one left, the game area shrinks every few minutes. The longer a round lasts, the smaller the area where survivors can move and hide.
Apex Legends refreshes this now classic game formula with some ideas that are unique to the genre: For example, before starting a round, players select one of eight heroes, each of which has two special abilities and facilitates certain play styles.
Bangalore, for example, is the classic soldier who can conceal her position with smoke grenades and call in an artillery strike in an emergency. The heroine Lifeline, on the other hand, can summon a drone to heal teammates – or directly order the delivery of high-value weapons and equipment via aerial drone. This way, all players can find the right hero for their preferred course of action.
How can I play Apex Legends?
Platform: “Apex Legends” is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Price: The battle royale shooter is a “Free to Play” title and can basically be played for free on all platforms.
In-game purchases: “Apex Legends” allows the purchase of cosmetic items and new heroes either by means of in-game currency, which can be earned for free in every round, or with real money. The real-money currency “Apex Coins” can be purchased in five different amounts: The smallest possible amount is 1000 Apex Points for around 9.99 euros, while the largest pack with 10,000 Apex Points content costs 99.99 euros.
The developer emphasizes that it is not possible to buy game advantages with the help of real money: You can only use it to customize the appearance of the heroes, it says, or purchase new heroes.
Age rating: “Apex Legends” does not have a youth rating (USK 18).
Which technical terms should you know?
Respawn Beacon: If a player is shot down, the team members who are still alive have the opportunity to bring the fallen comrade back into the game: Each eliminated player leaves behind a so-called Respawn Banner, which can be collected by the players of the own team and handed in at one of 28 Respawn Beacons, certain locations on the map. If this succeeds, the fallen player returns to the game.
Jumpmaster: At the beginning of the game, one of the maximum three players of a team always takes on the role of the jumpmaster. He decides when and where his team enters the game area.
Ping: Using the middle mouse button, players can alert their teammates to interesting locations in the game world or enemies. These pings are a valuable tool for communicating quickly and efficiently within the team.
