Apex Legends – Season 13: All Buffs & Nerfs

Check out the Legends and Balancing changes coming in – Season 13 here.

Apex Legends – Season 13 Saviors was released on May 5, and it will be one of the most game-changing updates ever seen in Battle Royale. Of course, there’s the usual new Battle Pass and Legend (Newcastle), but there are also a number of gameplay tweaks and map changes that will significantly alter the meta.

There are also a number of buffs and nerfs to the game’s legends and growing arsenal of weapons and items.

To stay up to date, check out all the buffs and nerfs coming in Apex Legends – Season 13 below.

Apex Legends – Season 13: Weapon/Item Buffs and Nerfs
– Season 13 will primarily see tweaks to the game’s weapons, with only two Legends coming under the microscope. On the weapon front, the Kraber, Rampage, Devotion, and Havoc will receive changes, while weapons like the R-301 will no longer be available as ground loot.

– Season 13 sees some major changes to the weapon balance, with many of the snipers in the game having their strength drastically reduced and their position in the Apex Legends weapon rankings altered as a result.

Among the most severely weakened weapons is the Kraber sniper rifle; its headshot multiplier has been reduced from 3 to 2 and its base damage from 145 to 140. This drastically reduces the weapon’s ability to kill with just one shot, forcing aspiring snipers to be ready to push and take out any stricken enemies.

The M600 Spitfire is also significantly weaker in – Season 13. The base damage has been lowered from 19 to 18 and the magazine capacity drops from 55 to 50 in the purple and gold variants – these are just some of the major changes made to the weapon. The barrel slot has also been dropped, and the mobility of the weapon has been significantly affected by changes to the draw, holster, and elevation times. The Spitfire was an absolute beast of a weapon, and these changes will drastically affect its performance in games.

There are also a number of buffs for some of the less powerful weapons. The most improved is the Mastiff shotgun. It has a lower ammo capacity in – Season 13, but it has a tighter bullet spread, more damage per bullet, and a higher rate of fire. All in all, it’s a much deadlier weapon for close combat.

There are also some improvements to the Rampage, the LSTAR, the Devotion, the Havoc, the Mozambique, and the Peacekeeper – check out the Apex Legends – Season 13 Patch Notes for a breakdown of all the changes.

The item changes are also designed to help players fend off pesky snipers. Blue and purple helmets have had their damage reduction increased for headshots, giving you a better chance of surviving a shot to the skull. However, don’t expect to just get hit and move on. The spawn rates of healing items have been reduced by 18%, meaning that there are far fewer healing options on the map.

These changes indicate that – Season 13 is all about aggression: taking out the enemy’s shield with a sniper and then quickly advancing with a shotgun or machine gun to finish them off.

Apex Legends – Season 13: All the Legends buffs and nerfs.
When it comes to the game’s Legends, it’s Valkyrie and Rampart that have gotten changes. In the case of Rampart, the buffs will improve her enhanced cover and Sheila spin. Rampart was a pretty lame legend, but in conjunction with the weapon changes, her boosted cover should prove more useful in the new meta.

With the mighty Valkyrie, her sky dive can no longer be used to gather information, which reduces her influence somewhat – though we don’t think the changes are likely to have removed her from the S-Tier of Legends.

And that’s all there is to say about the buffs and nerfs of the latest patch. We will keep you posted when the next update is released!

What is actually… “Apex Legends?

Within 24 hours, “Apex Legends” became the most-watched game on Twitch – after one week, over 25 million people were already playing it. What is the battle royale shooter about?

What is “Apex Legends” about?

Scenario: In a distant future, bandits, adventurers, and outlaws settle their disputes in a sporting contest to the death. The setting is a fertile, industrially developed valley on the edge of the galaxy.

  • Genre: Battle Royale shooter
  • Game modes: survival battle between a maximum of 20 teams of three.

At its core, “Apex Legends” is a classic battle-royale shooter: up to 60 players land simultaneously in teams of three on the game map called “Kings Canyon” – a densely built-up, fertile valley with many accessible houses, bunkers and towers. Once on the ground, unarmed players must search their surroundings for equipment and ammunition. The goal of the game is to stay alive until the end.

To prevent players from hiding all over the map and waiting to automatically be the last one left, the game area shrinks every few minutes. The longer a round lasts, the smaller the area where survivors can move and hide.

Apex Legends refreshes this now classic game formula with some ideas that are unique to the genre: For example, before starting a round, players select one of eight heroes, each of which has two special abilities and facilitates certain play styles.

Bangalore, for example, is the classic soldier who can conceal her position with smoke grenades and call in an artillery strike in an emergency. The heroine Lifeline, on the other hand, can summon a drone to heal teammates – or directly order the delivery of high-value weapons and equipment via aerial drone. This way, all players can find the right hero for their preferred course of action.

How can I play Apex Legends?

Platform: “Apex Legends” is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Price: The battle royale shooter is a “Free to Play” title and can basically be played for free on all platforms.

In-game purchases: “Apex Legends” allows the purchase of cosmetic items and new heroes either by means of in-game currency, which can be earned for free in every round, or with real money. The real-money currency “Apex Coins” can be purchased in five different amounts: The smallest possible amount is 1000 Apex Points for around 9.99 euros, while the largest pack with 10,000 Apex Points content costs 99.99 euros.

The developer emphasizes that it is not possible to buy game advantages with the help of real money: You can only use it to customize the appearance of the heroes, it says, or purchase new heroes.

Age rating: “Apex Legends” does not have a youth rating (USK 18).

Which technical terms should you know?

Respawn Beacon: If a player is shot down, the team members who are still alive have the opportunity to bring the fallen comrade back into the game: Each eliminated player leaves behind a so-called Respawn Banner, which can be collected by the players of the own team and handed in at one of 28 Respawn Beacons, certain on the map. If this succeeds, the fallen player returns to the game.

Jumpmaster: At the beginning of the game, one of the maximum three players of a team always takes on the role of the jumpmaster. He decides when and where his team enters the game area.

Ping: Using the middle mouse button, players can alert their teammates to interesting locations in the game world or enemies. These pings are a valuable tool for communicating quickly and efficiently within the team.
