Here you can find a complete overview of all maps in , both for Arena and . Also, here is all the info on upcoming maps when they become available.

Apex Legends has always been praised for its maps. They are incredibly well designed and somehow look so alive…. At least compared to other Battle Royale games. In many ways, the maps are the backbone of the game. But how many maps are there? What’s the story behind these locations? And when can we expect supplies? We’ve got an overview of all the maps currently available in Apex, and we’ll give you all the info you need about future maps.

How many maps are there in Apex Legends?
Apex Legends has a total of 9 maps, 4 of which are exclusive to Battle Royale mode and 5 of which are normal multiplayer maps for the arenas. The larger maps obviously hold up for Battle Royale or Battle Royale Ranked, while the 5 smaller maps are used for the arenas and sometimes a Limited Time Mode. We’re a bit impressed that there are so many smaller maps, especially considering that Arena Mode has only been in the game since – Season 9. Not bad, Apex Legends.

All Maps in Apex Legends

  • Battle Royale Map: King’s Gorge
  • Introduction: Release
  • Planet: Solace

King’s Gulch Lore:

Known as King’s Gulch, the island was once a simple settlement on the planet Solace and did not flourish until the IMC turned it into a center for research and development. It housed an air force base, a water treatment plant, and numerous other facilities in support of the IMC – including a top-secret project involving research into phasing technology and a radical program to create a simulacra army controlled by a single brain. On the surface, however, King’s Gulch seemed like a simple IMC facility that, for all its drawbacks, provided stability and jobs on Solace.
Battle Royale Map: Olympus

Introduction: – Season 7
Planet: Psamathe

Olympus Lore:

Olympus was a utopia built on dreams in the clouds above Psamathe. Here, the brightest minds of the Outlands once gathered to exchange ideas that led to groundbreaking breakthroughs in the fields of science and art. However, an accident at an experimental research facility created a phase rift in the form of a giant bubble of phase energy that drove the Outlands’ best and brightest out of town. With the support of the Mercenary Syndicate, Hammond Robotics then turned Olympus into a new arena for the Apex games.

Battle Royale Map: Storm Point
Launch: – Season 11
Planet: Gaea

Storm Point Lore:

This deserted island wasn’t always so lonely. Stormpoint – a beautiful island with an abundance of resources – was one of the first places on the planet Gaea encountered by early IMC expeditions. However, the area was plagued by tropical storms and isolated. A permanent settlement, now known as the city of Suotamo, was established on a nearby coastline, and power-generating storm catchers were built on Storm Point to meet the city’s growing energy needs.

Battle Royale Map: Edge of the World
Introduction: – Season 3
Planet: Talos

Edge of the World Lore:

Talos is a harsh planet plagued by intense volcanic activity and was previously classified as uninhabitable. Only small-scale luddite settlements have been able to establish themselves here. However, the IMC is making inroads on the planet after rare minerals were found beneath the surface. Heat-reducing towers were built to cool the natural lava flows so the resources could be mined. The facility that housed the towers was optimistically christened New Dawn, and a city – the Edge of the World – formed around it.

Arena Map: Habitat
Introduction: – Season 11
Planet: Gaea

Habitat Lore:

Storm Point is just one of many islands in the New Antilles archipelago. Habitat 4 is one of the smallest islands in the chain and is considered a breeding ground for Leviathans. When early IMC research groups surprisingly encountered a large population of Leviathans on the island, they established Habitat 4 as a base for studying the creatures’ behavioral biology. More than 100 years have passed since then, and while the IMC has long since departed, the gentle giants still live on the island today.

Arena Map: Overflow
Introduction: – Season 9
Planet: Talos

Overflow Lore:

After traces of Branthium were found in the magma streams on Talos, Hammond Robotics pushed various mining methods. One of these was an automated processing platform, officially called the Hephaistos Station, but affectionately known as “Overflow” in the vernacular. Its operation was largely without human operators, but since the spacious platforms caught the attention of arena organizers, the industrial mining platform has also been a scene of chaotic battles.

Arena Map: Encore
Introduction: – Season 10
Planet: Boreas

Encore Lore:

In the Encore Arena on the planet Boreas, Seer made his name. After being blamed and cast out for the impact of a meteorite on his planet’s moon, he slowly gathered a following of outsiders to watch him fight. Over time, the Encore Arena became more and more adapted to the fighting style of its star.

Arena Map: Party Crasher
Introduction: – Season 9
Planet: Solace

What is actually… “Apex Legends?

Within 24 hours, “Apex Legends” became the most-watched game on Twitch – after one week, over 25 million people were already playing it. What is the battle royale shooter about?

What is “Apex Legends” about?

Scenario: In a distant future, bandits, adventurers, and outlaws settle their disputes in a sporting contest to the death. The setting is a fertile, industrially developed valley on the edge of the galaxy.

  • Genre: Battle Royale shooter
  • Game modes: survival battle between a maximum of 20 teams of three.

At its core, “Apex Legends” is a classic battle-royale shooter: up to 60 players land simultaneously in teams of three on the game map called “Kings Canyon” – a densely built-up, fertile valley with many accessible houses, bunkers and towers. Once on the ground, unarmed players must search their surroundings for equipment and ammunition. The goal of the game is to stay alive until the end.

To prevent players from hiding all over the map and waiting to automatically be the last one left, the game area shrinks every few minutes. The longer a round lasts, the smaller the area where survivors can move and hide.

Apex Legends refreshes this now classic game formula with some ideas that are unique to the genre: For example, before starting a round, players select one of eight heroes, each of which has two special abilities and facilitates certain play styles.

Bangalore, for example, is the classic soldier who can conceal her position with smoke grenades and call in an artillery strike in an emergency. The heroine Lifeline, on the other hand, can summon a drone to heal teammates – or directly order the delivery of high-value weapons and equipment via aerial drone. This way, all players can find the right hero for their preferred course of action.

How can I play Apex Legends?

Platform: “Apex Legends” is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Price: The battle royale shooter is a “Free to Play” title and can basically be played for free on all platforms.

In-game purchases: “Apex Legends” allows the purchase of cosmetic items and new heroes either by means of in-game currency, which can be earned for free in every round, or with real money. The real-money currency “Apex Coins” can be purchased in five different amounts: The smallest possible amount is 1000 Apex Points for around 9.99 euros, while the largest pack with 10,000 Apex Points content costs 99.99 euros.

The developer emphasizes that it is not possible to buy game advantages with the help of real money: You can only use it to customize the appearance of the heroes, it says, or purchase new heroes.

Age rating: “Apex Legends” does not have a youth rating (USK 18).

Which technical terms should you know?

Respawn Beacon: If a player is shot down, the team members who are still alive have the opportunity to bring the fallen comrade back into the game: Each eliminated player leaves behind a so-called Respawn Banner, which can be collected by the players of the own team and handed in at one of 28 Respawn Beacons, certain locations on the map. If this succeeds, the fallen player returns to the game.

Jumpmaster: At the beginning of the game, one of the maximum three players of a team always takes on the role of the jumpmaster. He decides when and where his team enters the game area.

Ping: Using the middle mouse button, players can alert their teammates to interesting locations in the game world or enemies. These pings are a valuable tool for communicating quickly and efficiently within the team.
