Apex Legends Lost Treasures Patch Notes

The “Lost Treasures Collection” event has officially started. There are some surprising patch notes to go along with it….

We already had a preview of all the features that come with the latest event in Apex Legends. Lost Treasures brought a new time-limited mode, a Town Takeover, exclusive rewards and much more. How much more? A lot!

Today we’re taking a look at the changes that came with the new event. Let’s start with the Legends.

Legends
Lifeline
Passive

Combat Revive now replaces Combat Medic.
Uses D.O.C. to revive teammates. D.O.C. builds a shield and revives Lifeline’s teammate, allowing Lifeline to defend or revive another.
This replaces Lifeline’s old passives, including Fast Heal.
Tactical

Lifeline’s tactical cooldown is now 45 seconds (previously 60 seconds).
Ultimate

Lifelines Care Package now contains more items.
The Care Package will contain 3x as many small healing items when it spawns small healing items.
Care Package will contain 2x more attachments when it spawns them.
Lifelines Passive will be reworked because D.O.C. can now revive teammates, but their increased speed when using items is gone. On the plus side, her D.O.C.’s cooldown is reduced by 15 seconds, so more drones can be used than before. Last but not least, her Ultimate gets a higher number of healing items and attachments.

Octane
Tactical

When activated, Stim lowers movement impairing effects.
Stim sprint speed is increased by 10%.
Ultimate

Players can now double jump in mid-air after using Octane’s Launch Pad.
Players can easily change direction from the double jump.
Octane finally got the buffs everyone has been asking for. With the increase of Stim, his additional movement speed reaches 40 percent. It also lowers his slows when he uses it. His Ulti is also improved because players can also use double jumps after the Launchpad.

Revenant
Tactical

Cancelled now: Pathfinders Mid-Grapple/Wraith Mid-Phase Walk (before Phase Walk is activated).
Canceled now: Mirage Cloaked Revive/Mirage Decoy Control Activation/Lifeline Combat Revive.
Ultimate

Range on Death Totem removed.
Revenant gets better at taking out his opponents and Death Totem no longer has Range. That’s it. It would be nice to see more people play the ruthless assassin.

Crypto
Tactical

Hack mission (Crypto’s Drone) now lasts 1.5 seconds (previously 2.5 seconds).
Ultimate

EMP will now disable Wattson’s Pylon.
Crypto has gotten both a Town Takeover and buffs. His drone is now activated faster and the EMP can disable Wattson’s pylon – a real nightmare for campers. We were hoping it would be more than that, but hey, it’s better than nothing.

Loba
Tactical

Burglar’s Best Friend is no longer intercepted by Wattson’s Interception Pylon.
Ultimate

Black Market Boutique (Ultimate) now only takes 1 stack of ammo (instead of 1 stack + the amount needed to fill the partial stack you have in your inventory).
Ultimate Accelerants now give 20% ult charge (instead of 17.5%).
Loba has been in a good position since its release, and we doubt Respawn will adjust it further anytime soon.

Mirage
Tactical

You can hold down and release the tactical button to control Decoys automatically.
Decoys will report when they are shot down.

When cloaked, Mirage’s holo-emitters will be visible to players less than 5 meters away.
When parachuting in the squad, decoys will be created for the entire squad.
Gibraltar
Fast healing within the Dome Shield slows: from 25% faster to 15% faster.
Gibby gets a slight nerf as the additional speed inside the dome drops from 25% to 15%. Considering Lifeline lost her entire passive, this is only fair.

Caustic
Enemies can destroy Caustic’s barrel with shots before it is fully inflated
A nerf to Caustic? We don’t know why, but it’s here.

Wattson
The intent of these changes is to create openings for enemies to break through Wattson positions. It is still possible for Wattson players to hold a position with a Trophy indefinitely. However, doing so should come at the expense of Ultimate Accelerants.

Wattson’s Pylons now last for 90 seconds.
Wattson can now set up to 3 pylons at a time.
Wattson can fill 2 Ultimate Accelerants per slot.
Don’t worry, Wattson players can still use Pylons all the time, it just requires some accelerants.

Wraith
Increasing Wraith’s tactical cooldown didn’t do much. The changes are meant to discourage Wraith players from using Phase Walk as a “jail free” card and turn it into a positioning and recon ability.

Phase Walk

Phase Walk now takes 1.25 seconds to activate (previously 0.4 seconds). During this time Wraith receives a 20% slow.
It does not affect Phase Walk when placing a Phase Portal
During the Phase Walk Wraith gets a 30% increase in movement speed
While Wraith is in Phase Walk, Wraith can see other players in the Void
The Phase Walk now lasts 4 seconds (previously 3 seconds).
Phase Walk colldown is now down to 25 seconds (from 35 seconds).

Phase Tunnel

Decreased the distance for portal placement by 25%.
Even though respawn keeps nerfing it, it still gets taken. What else can be done about it? Phase walk now takes more than a second and thus serves less of a panic button function. On the other hand, the duration and movement speed is increased. Also, you can see enemies while voidrunning.

Weapons/Loot
HAVOC Rifle
The horizontal recoil in the shots of a burst reduces the magazine size from 32 to 28.
The Havoc was pretty good, but not great. But now it is not profitable at all.

Sentinel
Reload time 1,75 -> 1,6
Energy duration 90 -> 120
Despite a buff, the Sentinel will remain the second best sniper rifle in the game. Skullpiercer still has the edge.

Ziplines
There is a cooldown for re-grabbing ziplines without touching the ground.
The cooldown is extended each time the player disengages or re-grabs the zipline.
The cooldown gets reset for each time the player touches the ground.
It’s a nice little change that keeps players from ziplining to the end of times.

That’s about it for the most important changes in the patch. All the full notes are on EA’s official website.

What is actually… “Apex Legends?

Within 24 hours, “Apex Legends” became the most-watched game on Twitch – after one week, over 25 million people were already playing it. What is the battle royale shooter about?

What is “Apex Legends” about?

Scenario: In a distant future, bandits, adventurers, and outlaws settle their disputes in a sporting contest to the death. The setting is a fertile, industrially developed valley on the edge of the galaxy.

  • Genre: Battle Royale shooter
  • Game modes: survival battle between a maximum of 20 teams of three.

At its core, “Apex Legends” is a classic battle-royale shooter: up to 60 players land simultaneously in teams of three on the game map called “Kings Canyon” – a densely built-up, fertile valley with many accessible houses, bunkers and towers. Once on the ground, unarmed players must search their surroundings for equipment and ammunition. The goal of the game is to stay alive until the end.

To prevent players from hiding all over the map and waiting to automatically be the last one left, the game area shrinks every few minutes. The longer a round lasts, the smaller the area where survivors can move and hide.

Apex Legends refreshes this now classic game formula with some ideas that are unique to the genre: For example, before starting a round, players select one of eight heroes, each of which has two special abilities and facilitates certain play styles.

Bangalore, for example, is the classic soldier who can conceal her position with smoke grenades and call in an artillery strike in an emergency. The heroine Lifeline, on the other hand, can summon a drone to heal teammates – or directly order the delivery of high-value weapons and equipment via aerial drone. This way, all players can find the right hero for their preferred course of action.

How can I play Apex Legends?

Platform: “Apex Legends” is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Price: The battle royale shooter is a “Free to Play” title and can basically be played for free on all platforms.

In-game purchases: “Apex Legends” allows the purchase of cosmetic items and new heroes either by means of in-game currency, which can be earned for free in every round, or with real money. The real-money currency “Apex Coins” can be purchased in five different amounts: The smallest possible amount is 1000 Apex Points for around 9.99 euros, while the largest pack with 10,000 Apex Points content costs 99.99 euros.

The developer emphasizes that it is not possible to buy game advantages with the help of real money: You can only use it to customize the appearance of the heroes, it says, or purchase new heroes.

Age rating: “Apex Legends” does not have a youth rating (USK 18).

Which technical terms should you know?

Respawn Beacon: If a player is shot down, the team members who are still alive have the opportunity to bring the fallen comrade back into the game: Each eliminated player leaves behind a so-called Respawn Banner, which can be collected by the players of the own team and handed in at one of 28 Respawn Beacons, certain on the map. If this succeeds, the fallen player returns to the game.

Jumpmaster: At the beginning of the game, one of the maximum three players of a team always takes on the role of the jumpmaster. He decides when and where his team enters the game area.

Ping: Using the middle mouse button, players can alert their teammates to interesting locations in the game world or enemies. These pings are a valuable tool for communicating quickly and efficiently within the team.
