All League of Legends teams in the Worlds 2022

The Worlds 2022

Every year 24 teams can qualify for the Worlds. But instead of 12 leagues, this year there are only 11, due to the cancellation of the Russian LCL. Therefore, this year the European LEC gets four slots instead of three.

The 24 teams qualified either directly for the group stage or the play-in stage. The play-ins start already on September 29, after which the four winning teams will then participate in the group stage starting on October 7.

Five teams to remember

JD Gaming

This is the winner of the LPL, the Chinese league. Overall, the LPL is known for being made up of strong teams. After all, the winners from 2019 and 2021 were also from the LPL. In JD Gaming, top laner Bai “369” Jia-Hao currently shines in particular, but his other members should not be underestimated either.

Top Esports

Second place in the LPL is also a strong contender in the Worlds. Fans of the LEC may remember Top Esports as they won in a spectacular best of 5 by a reverse sweep against Fnatic in Worlds 2020. In addition, players Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang and Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo, Top Esports’ jungler and bot laner, are considered exceptionally talented.

Gen.G

Gen.G is the winner of the LCK, which is the Korean league. Teams from Korea are also known to have great potential. With players like Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk and other talents, Gen.G not only won the LCK title but also qualified directly for the group stage of the Worlds.

T1

A Worlds listing would not be complete without T1. Probably the most famous Korean team finished second in their league in this split. Not only star mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, but also Mun “Oner” Myeon-jun, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and other outstanding players can be found in this team.

Rogue

In the LEC, Team Rogue prevailed to win the title. In the finals, the team surprised with an amazing performance that made G2 Esports look weak. Especially players like Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos and Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus were able to shine here and already gave a foretaste for the Worlds 2022 with their 3-0 victory.
