When is the release of – Season 12? The 12th – Season of the popular battle royale Apex Legends will launch on February 8, 2022. The name of the – Season is “Defiance”, which means “defiance” or “resistance”. The title therefore clearly refers to the rude anarchist rebel Mad Maggie, who comes into the game as a new Legend.

Start of the – Season is expected to be at 7pm our time.

What’s in – Season 12? Here’s what you can look forward to in – Season 12:

• The map Olympus returns with a few changes
• Various fixes to gameplay, including nerfs and buffs to weapons and legends

New game mode, Mad Maggie and other gameplay changes.

Who is the new legend? At least since the terrific trailer for the new Legend, we know it will be Mad Maggie. We already knew about his nemesis Mad Maggie in – Season 8, when the Australian-born hero Fuse came into the picture.

The boorish anarchist warrior was also the host of a special event in the meantime, in which her coarse and very loud sayings drove many players to the brink of insanity.

By now we also know that Maggie will be a very offensive character. She’s particularly nimble with shotguns and, as an Ultimate, can throw an exploding bullet that dispenses speed boosters. Her most talked-about skill, however, is the “riot drill,” which has what it takes to break down the “Gibby shield meta.”

What is the new game mode “Control”? The first three weeks of – Season 12 will feature a new mode called “Control”. This is a kind of “Domination”, as known from games like Call of Duty.

So you are supposed to capture and hold as many of three capture points as possible in order to win after a certain amount of time. There will be infinite respawns and deal with a battle between 2 teams of 9 players.

Due to the respawns, this mode should be especially good for newcomers and returnees, because you can try everything at your leisure.

What new weapon is coming? So far, nothing has been announced about a new weapon. So there may not be another gun this time.

There are, however, new hop-ups, i.e. weapon upgrades. Among them is the “Kinetic Feeder” for the Shotgun Peacekeeper and the Sniper Triple Take. The upgrade makes it possible to automatically reload the weapon when you slide through the area. This is ideal for Mad Maggie’s fast, aggressive style of play.

Will there be a new map? Again, there won’t be a complete new release. But we know that the popular map Olympus from – Season 7 will return. And that there will be some significant changes to the map. What those are is unclear, but fans are assuming widespread devastation, as you can already see in the trailer for Mad Maggie.
