The outages and problems in Pokémon Go just won’t stop, it seems. After the complete outage during the spotlight hour, a lucky friends bug has now promised players lucky Pokémon without them getting them. The chances of compensation on the part of Niantic: slim.

The community is fully in the Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl (SDLP) Event Hype in Pokémon Go and had to deal with a bug that no one at developer studio Niantic has really officially confirmed – until now, in fact, only AFTER the problem in Pokémon Go has been fixed. Trainers who have experienced the bug feel fooled again, because the chances of compensation are zero.

Lucky friends display did not work properly

The Pokémon Go problem was this: The Lucky Friend status was not cancelled after a swap with a Lucky Friend, as it usually should be. Instead, after a lucky swap, it continued to show that the two trainers were still lucky friends.

This problem has now been fixed. However, the makers of Pokémon Go are not revealing how long the bug persisted. And there are probably numerous trainers who have exchanged other, high-quality Pokémon with a high IV value, expecting that these Pokémon would become lucky Pokémon. But that’s not what happened.

A compensation from Niantic? Probably not

The makers of Pokémon Go did not respond further to the discussions of the fans under the Twitter post. This would not be the first time either. Only recently, with the through the Google Cloud Service caused problems, the spotlight hour was on November 16, 2021. was shortened – to the detriment of players who were still using items such as smoke and star pieces. And to the detriment of the players who just raided.

And all the 100% IV value Pokémon, the Legendarys or Shinys that didn’t become Lucky Pokémon because of the bug with the Lucky Friend status display are now somehow lost.
