FIFA 22’s Title Update 6 really isn’t out that long and… well, the community’s complaints about new bugs are piling up. What did EA screw up this time?

Like its predecessors, FIFA 22 is by no means free of bugs . That’s why EA regularly releases new updates to tackle the most important problems with the collar. However, as we know, the changes do n’t always go over well with the community … and sometimes the game plays even worse after a patch than before. The latter has now seemingly recurred, here are the details.

Title Update 6 – Input Lag & FIFA Darkmode

We are extremely happy to announce that FIFA 22 finally has a dark mode ! During the Weekend League at 3 a.m., the screen was always blinded by the in-game sun, thanks EA! Take a look at the feature yourself:

Of course, that’s just a joke on our part – if you don’t try to laugh about it, it’s just sad. It’s crazy how EA always manages to surprise us with new features. And hey, that’s not an isolated case that we picked out for this article. Some other users have already posted this.

Also, Title Update 6 seems to have made the input lag problem worse . In the EA forum for “Technical Issues” the posts on this topic have increased significantly since the patch. Above all, players complain about the input confirmation, slower gameplay and intermittent freezes.

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
