There has been no sign of Team GO Rocket in Pokémon GO for a few days now. A solution to the problem has now been found and the nasty bullies and bosses are back.
What’s going on with Team Rocket?
On April 10, the developers of Pokémon GO announced that you need to temporarily disable the members of Team GO Rocket in the game. There it was about bugs related to encounters of the bullies and bosses. Since then, there has been quasi radio silence on the subject. However, it is now clear that the developers have found a solution to the problem and Team Rocket will soon be back in the game.

What’s new?
The developers of Pokémon GO have a website where they describe the status of current problems and bugs. A list of known bugs. There you can find the entry on April 22: “Encounters with Team GO Rocket bullies sometimes cause the game to freeze”.
The more detailed error description states that the game freezes and then stops responding. The problem was quickly circumvented by removing Team GO Rocket from the game.
For unsolved problems, it says on the page that they are still investigating. For the Rocket problem, the status is: “Will be fixed in an upcoming update”.
When are they coming back?
An exact date has not been set. In addition, Niantic does not explain whether the upcoming update is the “next” one. What is clear, however, is that the developers have already found the solution. Now it just needs to be processed in an update. So the re-release of Team Rocket in Pokémon GO should not be far away.
What is Team Rocket doing in Pokémon GO?
If you’ve seen the Pokémon anime series, you’re most familiar with Jessie, James, and Mauzi from Team Rocket. In Pokémon GO, many other members have exciting roles. Sometimes they appear in the form of nameless bullies that lurk at PokéStops or visit players with balloons. They reward you with powerful Crypto Pokémon after the battle.
Once you’ve fought enough of them, you face off against Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra or Cliff. They reward players with Crypto Pokémon again. If you fight the boss Giovanni, you can even get a legendary Crypto Pokémon.
Why is this so important?
That’s the problem: Some players may not care if they can’t fight Team GO Rocket members for a few days. But problems arise at the latest with the requirements for level 45. For this, you are supposed to defeat 100 Rocket bullies, catch 100 Crypto Pokémon and defeat 50 Team GO Rocket bosses.
Those who have already collected the required XP and solved all other tasks are now just waiting for Team GO Rocket to be reactivated. Trainers have already complained that they can’t level up in Pokémon GO now.
