In League of Legends, #Ryu “#Keria” min-seok, who is only 19 years old, was voted the most valuable player in the #KoreanLeague LCK. This is unusual: because he plays the most thankless role, the support. And he has the best player of all time from LoL, #Faker, in his team.
Who is that?
- Keria is one of the greatest talents ever in LoL. He was discovered at the age of 16 on “Kingzone Dragon” by coach cvMax. The controversial coach is known for having a nose for talent, but is rough with his players: He is said to have once choked one of his players.
- Keria made his breakthrough in 2020 at DRX, making it to Worlds. After the tournament, however, the highly talented team fell apart. Midlaner Chovy, who has since become a cult figure, also played there.
- Keria ended up with T1, the team of three-time world champion Faker. Things were mediocre there in 2021 – they even threw out the coaches in the middle of the game, but made it to the semifinals of the Worlds. In the spring of 2022, however, T1 is probably the best team in the world and Keria is the best player.

Why was Keria chosen to pvp?
That the “MVP” 2022 would be provided by T1 was actually clear. Because T1 played a “perfect” regular – Season . With 18-0 they set a new historical record in the LCK. No team in the LCK had ever achieved such dominance before.
Normally, however, one would assume that the team’s superstar, Midlaner Faker, would be crowned MVP, or perhaps ADC Gumayusi. But Keria is apparently seen as even more valuable.
Keria:
Among other things, Keria is known for his Engages, for his “fight openers”. If a supporter manages to paralyze or slow down the opponents with CC ability already at the start of a team fight in LoL, he sets up a victory for his team.
Keria is considered the “Master of Engage.” His most popular champs in – Season s 12 are champs like Nautilus, Thresh, Karma, and Tahm Kench. Especially the rather aggressive support champ Thresh is considered his “signature pick” over the years, the champ Keria is most associated with.

What makes the MVP so special?
Usually the “support” is the most thankless role in LoL because he gets the least kills and is there to set the scene, heal and support the ADC.
That’s why in the history of the LCK, no supporter has ever managed to win the MVP award. Keria is now the first in the history of the LCK – and he is only 19 years old.
