The Wild Rift beta has been playable in several regions of the world so far. We Europeans will have to be a bit more patient until we get our hands on the beautiful mobile version of our favorite MOBA: League of Legends aka Wild Rift.
However, since so many people can already play, Riot is closely monitoring the quality of the game and making adjustments accordingly. That’s why they’ve already released the first patch notes – Wild Rift Patch Notes 1.0a – generating some of the high-flyers.
Blitzcrank was a little too powerful from the start. What is it that we hate most about him? His hook. But in Wild Rift, he doesn’t even seem to need his most hated trait to kill you. That’s why the developers decided to nerf the robot to give others a chance.
His basic stats have been lowered, his health from 690 to 650 and his health regeneration per level from 1.07 to 0.81. His ult will also be slightly weaker, with reduced damage.
However, he was not the only overperformer. Vayne was also quite strong and will therefore be made more vulnerable. Her movement speed has been lowered from 330 to 325, as has her passive – Night Hunter – which now gives her a bonus to movement speed at certain levels, instead of the full 30 at level 1. She also did a bit too much True Damage, so they’ve lowered her Silver Bolts a bit as well.
The third champion to be hit with a nerf is Xin Zhao. His attack damage has been reduced, and he has become squishier – as he simply overran everyone who came at him.
Xin’s base stats were lowered. His health per level went from 115 to 105 and his attack damage went from 70 to 64. His armor and magic resistance were also lowered, making him slightly more vulnerable. The range of Audacious charge has been decreased and the cooldown of his ult has been increased, in hopes of balancing this champ.
There were also some bug fixes included in the patch, but the three champion nerfs were the focus of this patch. So let’s continue to follow the information we receive that once the beta is available in our region, we’ll be prepared to fight in Wild Rift.
