LoL Patch 11.14 has just come out and with it the Sentinels has finally begun. A new champion, Akshan, is already on the horizon – but that’s a story for another patch – so let’s take a look at what patch 11.14 has to offer.

We’ll take a look at the main highlights of LoL Patch 11.14. But if you really want to know every little detail, we’ve already written it all down for you here. So you won’t miss anything from the latest patch 11.14!

Akali Nerf in LoL Patch 11.14

Akali will get a nerf in LoL Patch 11.14. She is one of those champions that are simply impossible to balance, because she is either OP or simply too weak. Well, let’s see if these changes do anything.

As of patch 11.14, she won’t be able to use her Q during e-dash. But was that her problem? We think not. Riot also weakened her Ulti a bit… let’s wait and see where Akali ends up now.

Darius and Garen Buffs in LoL Patch 11.14

Who would have ever thought that Darius and Garen of all people need buffs? Really now, those two are such muscle guys, you don’t need to buff anything. But after the mobility changes in patch 11.13 they are just that – musclemen – without any speed.

Darius got a buff for his passives. Bonus Attack Damage is increased with each level, and that means he can just hit harder with his axe. And more often, because the cooldown of his E is reduced in patch 11.14.

The stridebreaker changes leave Garen hanging.
Garen has also lost mobility. He’s just too slow, the armor is too heavy, and so he can’t get to his opponents at all. That’s why he gets a little more movement speed in patch 11.14 and his ult is also strengthened, in case he can’t run after his opponents as fast.

Irelia changes in LoL Patch 11.14

Irelia got a little makeover in LoL Patch 11.14. She will be a bit squishier in early game from now on, but her HP will scale better. That’s not all that has changed about her though!

Her Passive will only have 4 stacks now. However, the bonus Movement Speed with each stack will be slightly weaker in the Early Game, but stronger in the Late Game. The boosted damage will also be slightly lower from patch 11.14.

But that’s still not all. The Dash of their Q is slightly slower, but the bonus damage against Minions now scales with their level. Her W Damage Reduction now works against magic damage, and her E can no longer be reactivated when cc-ed. Last but not least, we come to her Ulti, whose new passive reduces the Q’s cooldown.

On the whole, Irelia should be a bit smoother to play now. The changes are mostly related to the pro scene, so we’ll be curious to see how it all works in the solo cue.

New Game Mode Spellbook in Patch 11.14

A new game mode is added in LoL Patch 11.14. Do you love URF and Nexus Blitz? Then get ready for Ultimate Spellbook! In this mode, you only have one Summoner Spell. The second one is swapped with an Ulti from another champion.

Of course, you can’t have Ults from all 150 champions, but Riot has chosen 40 champions. At the beginning of each game, the player can choose one of three random Ults.

This game mode will be Blind Pick and when you are in the game, you can see which ones your teammates and opponents have picked. So have fun with the Inten!

New skins in LoL Patch 11.14

There will be 7 new skins in LoL Patch 11.14.

  • Irelia
  • Riven
  • Diana
  • Vayne
  • Olaf
  • Pantheon
  • Prestige Pantheon

Irelia, Riven, Diana, Vayne and Olaf fight alongside the Sentinels of Light against Viego. The sixth and seventh skins both belong to Pantheon. One of them is a Ruined skin and the other is an Ascended Prestige skin.
