After two weeks of pure chaos, LoL Patch 11.13 finally brings a bit of normalcy back. Riot makes big announcements with epic new skins, a new game mode and the start of the Sentinels event.

So relax for now: LoL Patch 11.13 mainly consists of a Tahm Kench mini-rework, two new items and a few mobility tweaks. So all in all, nothing really big. We have summarized the most important details of patch 11.13, but there is a much more detailed version for the nerds among you.

Tahm Kench Update in LoL Patch 11.13

Tahm Kench has received a small rework in LoL Patch 11.13. In the official patch notes, Riot stated that the champion’s stats were intentionally a bit worse because otherwise he would be completely OP. So that is supposed to change now. Well, that’s still up to us to decide, am I right?

  • P – An Acquired Key: Tahm Kench deals 2.5% of his maximum life as bonus damage.
  • Q – Tongue Lash: You can now eat enemies with the Q if you have full stacks and use the Ultimate. This was previously only possible with Minions. You also heal yourself by a small percentage.
  • W – Abyssal Dive: Tahm Kench channels the ability for 1.35 sec, then dives and comes back up at a location you specify. There he deals 100/135/170/205/240 (+100% AP) damage and throws enemies up for 1 sec. If you hit an enemy with this ability, you get 30% back from the cooldown and the mana cost. It is also possible to take eaten teammates on the trip, but they can drop out beforehand if they wish.
  • E – Thick Skin: Tahm gets a shield and gray HP that regenerates faster over time.
  • R – Devour: Tahm Kench eats a champion and keeps it in his mouth for three seconds. If the champion is an enemy, you must slobber on it three times beforehand for the passive. In return, you do 100/250/400 +15% (+5% per 100 AP) damage. Tahm Kench itself is slowed by 40% and cannot be thrown up. If the eaten champion is an ally, he gets a shield for 300/450/600 (+100% AP) that lasts 2.5 seconds after he is spat back out. Tahm Kench is again slowed for 40/25/10%. Allies can see when Devour is available by TK’s HP bar, enemies cannot.

Item Updates in LoL Patch 11.13

Two new items are coming to the game in LoL Patch 11.13: Hullbreaker and Anathema’s Chains. Also, Divine Sunderer will get a nerf, so you won’t be able to abuse Ezreal in SoloQueue as well. Sorry. We’ve seen what ShowMaker can do with such a ridiculously strong pick.

  • Is Uzi coming back to the Pro Play? After RNG cleaned up so much at MSI, I couldn’t keep my feet still either.

One of the two new items, Anathema’s Chains, is a tank item designed to be a direct counter to Hullbreaker. So, if you’re playing a tank and you’re up against a splitpusher like Fiora or Camille, be sure to build Anathema’s Chains so you can handle them. You’ll chain up to your nemesis, plan your vendetta, and receive less damage. At max stacks, the opponent has reduced Tenacity.

As I said before, the Chains are a counter to Hullbreaker. In fact, the item is created almost exclusively for split pushers. Hullbreaker gives additional magic resistance and armor if there is no allied champion near you. When you’re alone, you also deal 20% more damage to towers. Oh, and you get some extra-large Minions – Banner of Command would be turning in his grave.

Mobility adjustments in LoL Patch 11.13

Mobility in has been scrutinized in LoL Patch 11.13. Many items have fallen victim to the adjustments, and overall there are now fewer Dashes and Movement Speed in the Gap. Some champions relied a lot on items like Stridebreaker, they look stupid now – Urgot is crying his eyes out.

  • There are so many items, how are we supposed to use them all? Check out our item guides for insights on Trinity Force or Prowler’s Claw.

Items such as Galeforce, Lich Bane or Cosmic Drive have had their movement speed reduced, while others such as Death’s Dance have had their movement speed completely removed.

These changes have been on Riot’s whiteboard for a while. They went live with the latest patch.

New skins in LoL Patch 11.13

So let’s get to the fun part. Who needs Dashes and Movement Speed or new items when we have fabulous new skins? Honestly, Riot must have known that I always wished to become an astronaut. Now they’ve released these astronaut skins just for me. I feel honored.

Many new skins are available – Astronaut Maokai, Rammus, Veigar and Corki. They all look great, but the leader in terms of skins is Kawaii. The meeps are just too cute.

  • Speaking of skins, check out which ones all came out last month!

There is one more PROJECT skin available with PROJECT: Zed Prestige Edition. After a bit of community feedback, the skin was re-lit and now it really looks Prestige.

The guides, the videos, the lore, it’s all close! Earlygame shows you your way to Challenger.
