Today Riot Games have continued to scare us as they have unleashed the Revised Fiddlesticks with Patch 10.7! With brand new storyline, the Harbinger of Doom has finally arrived. But that’s not the only new thing.
Buffs, nerfs and may it be a little more horror? The latest League of Legends patch notes have been long awaited and bring a lot to look forward to – or not.
The harbinger of doom
- Fiddlesticks – the mischief on gnarled branches
Fiddlesticks comes completely reconstructed with new skins, voice lines, interactions and more. For a decade now, the hay bundle has been causing fear and terror in LoL with its menacing abilities, especially its passive.
Fiddlesticks aside, five more skins have arrived with patch 10.7, including a nice variety of cosplays – and they look pretty darn sweet! This is an obvious homage from Riot Games to the League of Legends cosplay community. Also included are three new additions to the Worldbreaker skins, giving new life to Malzahar, Maokai, and Sion.
Buffs from Patch 10.7
It has caught Riven… And now it’s going to hit her opponents. The changes to Riven in patch 10.7 affect her hit points and health regeneration. We might see her back on the top lane more often soon, as her 8.5 health regeneration and increased base health of 560 are perfect conditions for that.
But it’s not the only one buffed in patch 10.7. The list is quite long:
- Akali
- Corki
- Galio
- Ivern
- Kai’Sa
- Nasus
- Xin Zhao
Of them all, Xin Zhao is the one to be wary of right now: his Determination passive increases his base health. We strongly recommend either selecting him yourself or banishing him – otherwise it can end badly.
All nerfs
Finally: Wukong was just too overpowered after a previous change, so his presence in League of Legends games was also overpowered. Monkeys were everywhere – and we don’t mean flaming teammates. His passive armor “Stone Skin” was reduced to 5-9 (level 1-18) and “Nimbus Strike” was reduced from 0/120/160/200/240 to 80/110/140/170/200.
Further heroes would now also have to live with a nerf:
- Cooking
- Talon
- Nocturne
Nocturne’s mid-lane abilities have been generated: patch 10.7 has reduced the regeneration of his base health and magic resistance, the developers explain:
“We changed some of Nocturne’s base abilities to allow his opponents to dispel him and control his scale potential “
The patch 10.7 summarized
Riot Games has delivered a lot to us with this patch. For a quick overview, here’s what we got:
Conclusion
There were some much needed changes in this patch, especially with Wukong and Xin Zhao. We strongly recommend choosing Wukong even after the nerfs, as he is still strong. If you absolutely don’t like him, you should go for Xin Zhao.
More League of Legends? Gladly, just today, April 1, there is an insane news: a penguin becomes the new hero (April, Arpil). Riot has made the most epic April Fool’s joke of 2020. Also, there’s still a choice between light and dark in LoL’s current Galaxies 2020 event.
