We’ve already given you a small snippet of what’s coming with LoL Patch 10.21. Today we have some more specific numbers. So what and who will Riot be patching?
Sure, the current info on the upcoming LoL Patch Notes 10.21 is not yet set in stone and everything can change within a week, but here comes everything we already know about it:
The Jungle was hit again
With patch 10.20, Riot somehow wanted everyone to go out and play Urgot and Sion in the Jungle, buffing their damage against Camps. Now they’ve put junglers under the nerf microscope that have a particularly high win rate.
We’ve all been following LoL Worlds – and some of the most played junglers seem to be Graves and Nidalee. Hecarim isn’t far behind either, the ghostly horse additionally enjoys great popularity in the pro game creates. And it is exactly these three LoL junglers that are particularly affected by the upcoming nerf in patch 10.21.
Hecarim gets a nerf to his E – Devastating Charge, causing him to deal less base damage than before: from 45-165 to 35-155. His maximum base damage has also been reduced from 90-330 to 70-310. This makes him quite a bit weaker when ganking the opponent.
Graves and Nidalee received only minor nerfs, with Graves receiving a nerf to his E – Quickdraw that grants him less armor. Nidalee’s base attack damage has also been reduced.
Aphelios gets how many buffs?!
Yes, Aphelios, the threat in the bot lane, is buffed to Riot heaven… or at least elevated. Sure he was as broken as Samira when he was released, but since then he’s been on the losing side of every game. He has a negative win rate and is simply not survivable in many situations…. Not to mention that his kit is extremely hard to master.
So what’s going to be changed? Well, his passive is buffed by increasing his stats here from 2-12 to 3-18. It also looks like his R is getting a buff, which looks like a lot on paper, but isn’t much when you think about it. Aphelios has enough weapons anyway, though:
- Calibrum additional mark damage increases from 20-70 to 40-100
- Gravitum root increased from 1s to 1.25s
- Crescendum chakrams caused an increase from 3 to 4
- Infernum splash damage increased from 75% to 85
- Severum healing increased from 200-400 to 250-500
That looks like a whole lot, huh? Up until this point, his R had been pretty weak, with only one or two of them being usable in the game. Maybe this will bring Aphelios back into the fold.
Udyr buffs, once again…
Udyr will probably get another small buff. Ultimate damage will be increased from 40-240 to 50-300. Fans have spoken out about this and want Riot to focus on a complete overhaul of the champ – similar to what they did with Mundo and our favorite creepy scarecrow, Fiddlesticks. Yes, Udyr is a bit dated already…. His W seems completely useless in the current meta, for example.
Of course, other champions like Corki and Karma will also be strengthened, which could increase their play rate as well.
Overall, there will be a big change to the Jungle meta in LoL Patch 10.21, with top tiers like Hecarim and Graves coming under pressure. So maybe we will see the jungle dreams of Urgot/Sion that Riot was already hoping for with patch 10.20?
