League of Legends players, your time has come! Patch 10.16 has finally dropped and there are a lot of champion buffs! Everything you need to know about patch 10.16 is here.
We have already reported about Yasuo’s fallen brother Yone in previous articles. So you’ll be happy to know that Yone will be joining Summoner’s Rift in patch 10.16. After the release of Lillia, who seems to be long forgotten, Yone’s kit brings new creativity to his playstyle. Of course, we have prepared a video with all the details:
On August 6, 2020, the last Spirit Blossom skins will be available: Spirit Blossom Riven, Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia, Spirit Blossom Ahri, Spirit Blossom Kindred and Spirit Blossom Yone. If you want to know which are the best, please click here:

An important note about future patches: Riot Games has confirmed a pause for patch notes, which means that patch 10.17 will not be available. There could possibly be a much smaller patch released, but we assume that the next patch will come with a gap and will be patch 10.18.
The most important buffs
In patch 10.16, many champions have been polished up. So take your time and check out the changes of different sizes:
- Akali: Q base damage has been increased. E damage type has been changed.
- Evelynn: Q-Cooldown has been reduced; hitting a monster no longer gives 50% of the cooldown.
no longer returns 50% of the cooldown. - Fiora: Q-Cooldown decreased; cooldown reduction on one hit has been decreased.
- Hecarim: E-bonus movement speed increased over time.
- Jax: E-cooldown decreased.
- Jhin: Passive Final Shot Critical Damage against Structures increased.
- Jinx: R bonus damage now uncapped.
- Lucian: Q damage increased. R total shots fired increased.
- Miss Fortune: Base attack damage increased.
- Morgana: Q cooldown decreased.
- Neeko: Cooldown decreased: Q damage increased; Bloom Damage increased.
- Rakan: R bonus move speed increased.
- Skarner: Q total damage increased; cost decreased.
- Tristana: E now deals 1% more damage per 3% chance of a Critical
Strike. - Veigar: Resistance to base magic increased.
- Yasuo: Resistance to base magic increased. R base damage increased.
- Ziggs: Maximum damage to Structures increased.
Well, there was probably a big set of champions buffed – you know? Well, never mind. Moving on.
League of Legends and Riot Games are currently apparently boosting more champions to increase the diversity of the champion pool for upcoming, big Esports events like the 2020 World Championship and many more. With the confirmation of when and where the World Championship will take place this year, Riot is surely looking to bring in more champs to make things a bit more balanced.
So with as many buffed champs as Yasou, you have a huge selection. Definitely keep an eye on Evelynn, as she could soon become quite a flexible pick. Also, Lucian’s buffs are pretty exciting. For the sniper, Q damage has been increased and the increased rate of fire of his Ulti means that Lucian can dish out quite a bit thanks to patch 10.16.
Important nerfs
At least fewer champs were generated this time:
- Ashe: Q bonus attack speed decreased.
- Bard: base health reduced. W: maximum healing reduced.
- Karma: Q-cost flat; cooldown increased.
- Karthus: Q-damage ratio decreased.
- Kha’Zix: Q isolated target bonus damage reduced.
- Nautilus: W shield reduced.
- Nocturne: Passive Cooldown increased; the Cooldown Refund for
enemy champions and monsters that are hit increased. - Sett: W base damage and E base damage decreased.
- Syndra: Q base damage reduced.
- Volibear: Q bonus movement speed decreased.
Wow, Aphelios didn’t make the nerf list – a new record! These champion changes are undoubtedly aimed at pro players – but at least they bring some peace to Summoner’s Rift, especially Volibear.
“Volibear is a rare beast that relentlessly calls down the storm for our average and professional players. He reduces his mobility and enters the late game.”
We also said about the last patch that you should keep an eye on Kha’Zix. Overall, he was doing too much bonus damage on isolated targets, which is why he was just unruly all over the place in League of Legends.
League of Legends has given us back a lot of fun with patch 10.16! Who could forget Yasuo? Oh yeah, and always keep an eye on Evelynn.
By the way, Riot has provided a full list of the patch notes.
