The news about Patch 10.14 is here, and it feels like Patch 10.13 was released just yesterday. We can expect balance adjustments, unforeseen item changes and possibly Lilia, the new jungler.

of Legends head gameplay designer, Mark ‘ Scruffy’ Yetter, has released some value changes for the upcoming League of Legends patch 10.14. Note: These numbers do not reflect the final patch changes. However, we at EarlyGame will keep you informed about further updates to patch 10.14.

  • League of Legends Patch 10.14 – what’s in store?

So what changes are already known for patch 10.14? Mark Yetter already provided us with some details via Twitter…:

LoL League of Legends – Patch 10.14 - even more balance changesIn one of our last League of Legends Patch 10.14 articles, we talked about the need for changes to Wukong, Ezreal and Volibear, as they are simply too dominant at the moment. During the Summer Split of LEC and LCS 2020, they experienced a too steep rise after all. Winrates were also consistently high in matches. So changes to these three champions are crucial for a real balance improvement and more diversity on the lanes.

Ezreal’s biggest change has been his E, Shift, which has seen an increase in cooldown from 25-13 sec to 28-16 sec. This change weakens the ADC especially in early-game but he can now play less risky in late-game as well. Ezreal will probably be less playable than expected after this patch. We recommend to never pick the champ again and also you, dear Esport players, better leave it alone.

Who should not have recognized the sarcasm, yes, we exaggerate a little… Because these are the least relevant changes Ezreal needs right now. The damage of his abilities should be adjusted to make him less threatening. We hope that further adjustment will be made to his damage. For example, a damage reduction to his Q, Mystic Shot, would be a start. Come on, Riot Games.

LoL League of Legends – Patch 10.14 - even more balance changesChanges for Riven, boo for Wukong and wtf to the Zed Buffs.

Riven has been having severe problems on the top lane lately. Especially against champs like Wukong, Volibear and Ornn, she was outclassed at every stage of the game. The planned changes to her passive Rune Blade are extensive for this. These intended changes would increase her passive damage from 25-50% to 30-60%, which is pretty dramatic considering Riven was never really a target for buffs. With the additional AD items we can on Riven, these changes mean damage, damage, and more damage. Did we mention damage? We think it’s important. Needless to say, the sight of Riven on the upper lane makes the place a little more exciting.

Less exciting, however, are the proposed nerfs for Wukong. Right now, this monkey is just too strong. The community would like to see a one-time knock-up of the Ultimate back. The proposed change for Wukong is to reduce the duration of his knock-up from 0.75 to 0.6. Why not?

LoL League of Legends – Patch 10.14 - even more balance changesA big point of discussion for the community right now is the proposed Zed buffs. Yes, that’s right, Zed is being buffed for LoL Patch 10.14. These changes would give his W, Living Shadow, a huge speed increase from 1750 to 2500, with a cooldown on his W from 22-14 to now 20-14. But what does this mean? Most definitely the return of the – Season 3 Zed Mains! We’ll have to watch these changes in the PBE, but for now we might see a resurgence of the Assassin in League of Legends.

Volibear will seemingly see only tiny changes in patch 10.14. We honestly expect more to come when the official patch notes from Riot Games arrive. Volibear’s healing has been adjusted and the base attack speed has been reduced. Statistics and pro games have shown that you need to do a lot more to stop this bear from threatening the top lane or the jungle in Summoner’s Rift.

The changes in Pyke are pretty dramatic for Pyke Mitte, but that was really to be expected. Pyke was supposed to be a supporter, so it was only predictable to see this adjustment – even if the Pyke Mitte Mains aren’t very happy about it.

Lilia could be coming with 10.14!

There is discussion in the community about Lilia, the next champion for League of Legends. We believe she might be coming sooner than expected. In a recent tweet from moobeat, Lilia is apparently unlockable for free?

LoL League of Legends – Patch 10.14 - even more balance changesCould we expect a new game mode or something related to Nexus Blitz that unlocks Lilia for us? Who knows! But a game mode to unlock the champion for free sounds like fun! Especially for new players, it’s a great idea.
