Clash is the League of Legends tournament for those who don’t have time for Pro Teams but still want to compete. We explain when the Clash tournaments take place and how you can participate.
Last weekend, the League of Legends in-house Clash Tournament took place again and the winners of each group were able to unlock cool skins, stickers and summoner icons. However, since even the losers don’t leave the tournament empty-handed, Clash is also a very good opportunity for less active players to get essences and emotes.
What is LoL Clash?
Clash is a competitive tournament in which 8 teams compete in Summoner’s Clash over 3 rounds. By default, teams consist of 5 players who compete against other teams with players in their Elo. For this, the tournament groups are divided into Tier 1-4 to avoid unfair encounters.
- Also prepare for the next Clash tournament with the new patch notes!
To participate in Clash you must:
- Have reached level 30.
- Have completed all placement matches in a Summoner’s Clash (ranked) queue.
- Have verified your “League” account via SMS (this new feature applies to Clash only).
- Buy a Clash ticket: Standard ticket 975 BE or 195 RP, Premium ticket 975 RP.
Once you have done all this, you can create your own Clash Team or be invited to join a Clash Team. Teams are then assigned to a class based on their average Elo, with class 1 being the highest and class 4 being the lowest.
How long does a Clash tournament last?
A Clash tournament is always at least 3 games long. Whether you win or lose the first game, you will always be moved to a lower or higher bracket. The only difference are the rewards, which are of course better in the “Winner Bracket” than in the “Losers Bracket”.
